I'm sure they'll be plenty of secrets..

But my question is: what's the benefit to doing that? His return for the finale was kept a secret because it was supposed to entice people to start watching the new OLTL. It was a cliffhanger just like JR's shooting people on AMC.

This is a different situation. PP needs as many eyes as possible right out of gate so I don't understand why they would bring TSJ back and not say anything. Like it or not, the guy has fans. (Yes, really, he does.) It would make more sense to say he's back so people who were dissatisfied with OLTL's ending would be more inclined to watch. For me this isn't about thinking he wouldn't lie, to quote the great doctor Gregory House "Everybody lies." I simply don't see what's in it for PP to keep such a major return under wraps unless as Vee says, they are saving the announcement for closer to the premiere date.

Victor's return was supposed to get people to watch OLTL 2.0 so it doesn't make sense to me that PP wouldn't use Victor's return to get people to watch OLTL 2.0.

That all makes sense. And I am one of his (few?) fans--I much much prefer him as an actor to Roger.

They kept Victor a secret for the cliffhanger. I don't see why they wouldn't now. I think the show itself and the PR resultant from that (as for AMC) is enough to draw the eyeballs they need at the outset.

I'm not saying Trevor St. John isn't a draw to fans - I think he is. But I don't think there's any actor at OLTL, including Roger Howarth, who could singlehandedly yoke a massive glut of lapsed existing OLTL viewers back that aren't already there or waiting in the wings over the next several weeks to be wooed with general promotion. I think they'll come back for the show but stay for their favorites, which I expect will include a to-be-revealed TSJ. So in that case, why not continue to keep the secret?

Well they have Jwow. Lol. Their strategy confuses me. The only thing they've "spoiled" is a lot of scripts for the younger set. They aren't really even trying to appeal to the viewers who were hanging to the cliff hangers. No teasers. No sips. Maybe they're banking on the same things Crapvati did. We're suckers who will watch no matter what.

I love this! And I've said it privately. But now I'm going to proclaim it publicly. Thank you SON for your support of the reboots. Unlike some other POS who chooses to act like ABC rules, even while that vile entity cancelled OLTL and then scavenged the carcass for the bits of flesh they wanted then pissed all over what was left. Never forget that ABC flushed OLTL and AMC. And PP gave them new life. Craptini proclaimed they were keeping pieces of OLTL alive. But only three pieces were worthy. The rest was trash. Now that OLTL lives, Craptini doesn't give a [&#33;@#&#036;%^&amp;*] about keeping it alive.

I wouldn't worry too much about the lack of teasers yet. On the AMC thread there was a post with a couple of tweets from one the producers where she mentions that they (AMC) were working on a couple of promos with HULU one of which was going to be a 10 min teaser promo that would also be a reminder of where the show left off. I'm sure that the OLTL crew is doing the same.

I think with the exception of KDP, most of the updates are being done by the younger set of actors while with AMC has Jill and Cady doing alot of the promoting online along with Jordi and his site.

It wouldn't surprise me if we continue to see videos like the one that posted for the new sets to come at least once a week till the premiere.
