Doesn't Agnes also have creative control at OLTL as well??

SHe's a creative consultant. Not really the same thing, but yes, apparently (and I believe it) she does have some say about both.

I think Jake is on Broadway now. Maybe that got in the way?

He's only done Off-Broadway and regional. wink.png He was in a show last November, but I haven't heard of anything since, but he does do a lot of concerts, etc...

It's interesting how people seem to think differently about which of the new younger cast are decent and which aren't--Celia's acting has largely been not too well liked here, it seems, but Carolyn picks her as a highlight.

Random comment, but I was trying to figure out why I hate the AMC opening and although I wish the theme had no words, it's the poses of the actors! The more seasoned actors look natural, but Lea, Cassandra, Jane, Celia, Petey and Miranda are all making awkward, unnatural faces. I wonder how many takes they got. It's weird that the openings for both shows aren't more dynamic.

Jane's pose makes me laugh.

I actually like the theme without vocals as a soap theme, as used at the end credits.

+1 on don't worry about Agnes. I saw her speak and got to chat with her 1:1 for a few magical moments when she was honored at this event in Boston a few months after AMC went off and right before the end of OLTL. She seemed quite frail (but so beautiful) in that her children were all over holding her arm, helping with steps etc. BUT WHEN she started talking about her shows? She remembered stories in great detail from Carla/Clara on OLTL to Bianca coming out, was cracking jokes about how PP had talked about moving the shows to Canada. I could have listened to her talk for hours. I know things can shift quickly with age but the woman was sharp as a tack, witty and knew the history of her shows. I definitely think she is at in her to be a creative force for these shows and I think her influence is totally showing on AMC and not OLTL, proving that some things never change.

I am extremely jealous--but good to hear your take too.

So the debate about using profanity and nudity on @TOLN's @AllMyChildren & @OneLifeToLive has begun. Actually it began before any scenes aired. However, now that they have, it has gone up a few notches.

I have noticed that both soaps use swearing differently. On #OLTL, it seems the word [!@#$%^&*] is used a lot by @CorbinBleu's Jeffrey, @KelleyRMissal's Dani & @Rob_Gorrie's Matthew as a verb. Like [!@#$%^&*], that girl is hot or where is my [!@#$%^&*]. (That was funny, BTW). While over at #AMC, the words [!@#$%^&*] & ass-hole are used more when letting out emotions, whether in a fight, trying to defue a situation (@DebbiMorgan's Angie, the way she used the word [!@#$%^&*] when talking to David had no effect on the May 1st episode or when Zach realized who had taken Cassie). Those situations made very much sense. Personally I also get a kick out of @EricNelsen's Aj use of profanity. That has come for the most part when defending Miranda (@DenyseTontz) to Hunter (@DanielCovin). Those scenes also screamed reality. The dialogue felt how friends talk to each other.

As for the Nudity, #OLTL has had none so far & #AMC had some bare hip and brief ass from @EricNelsen's AJ. In that scene which was played for comedy, it made so much sense because he had just gotten out of the shower & I assume we all shower naked. Plus the show wanted AJ to be caught by Miranda, which in my opinion lead to a great scene of chemistry between them.

Now, IMO, i see no issue with showing swearing & nudity. In fact, I feel America gives to much power to how "bad" swearing & nudity is, when it fact they are no big deal. I feel that if we just talked about what those words actually meant & how the human body is a beautiful thing, I could see people in the long run not making a big deal out of this.

Susan Lucci talks 'All My Children,' Erica Kane cursing

But could Lucci, who did not make the online transition (instead, she'll soon appear in Marc Cherry's "Devious Maids" on Lifetime), envision Erica using profanity?

"Well, I don't know, it would all depend on what they wrote for me and how organic it would be," she said playfully. "Erica Kane seemed to get her point across pretty well without cursing!"

She did indeed! Calm down, AJ Chandler.
