no one is referring to the actor or characters age. From a visual standpoint, it's jarring that they've aged her grandson so much while making her look younger. As an actress playing a part, the show should have accounted for the time jump and compensated by using makeup, hair and wardrobe give her the allusion of being an older Dixie as that's what she should be portraying here.
