AMC: The Prospect Park Era (old production thread)

Oh, dear. Did I read that reader's comment correctly? "...Though I can and plan to watch via Hulu, I’m not tuning in until I know they will air on cable TV as well. If my mother and grandma can’t watch, I’m sure as heck not tuning in. They’re the reason I got hooked to begin with." So, unless mom and granny can watch on cable TV, this person won't watch online?

I want to slap the taste out the mouths of people like this sometimes. I know this person is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, but this mindset just amazes me.

I really don't think I believe people who take so much time to say that they're not tuning in. I wasn't any big ABC soap fan until after my beloved ATWT started to become unwatchable but even I am planning on clicking, yes, on my laptop when April 29th comes.

I can even remember someone posting that if not enough people report and stream in, then that will guarantee that there will never be a chance of being on any TV outlet.

Personally, I don't see the big deal about being online vs. TV. At this point, I stream on Netflix, Hulu and You Tube/Vimeo just as much as I watch broadcast television. And exclusively online programming will become a regular occurring event.

I guess some people will be dragged kicking and screaming into the modern age.

On another board someone posted the Eden interview and within seconds some Buzz Killington over there responded that Marissa being dead meant Bianca was doomed to be a sexless lesbian for the rest of eternity and therefor the show sounded like shyte and they had no intention of watching. Um, Really?

I mean because oh poor Bianca has spent the last five years morning the loss of a woman she dated for all of five minutes and she has never ever loved anyone else and would be incapable of falling in love with anyone else despite the long history of other undead love interests she has had that the show could choose to revisit.

I do not condone violence of any sort, but some of these fan comments make me want to reach through my computer and backhand the stupid out of people.

Agreed, though I hope some people don't think this means it'll be on CBS....

Dumb

I liked Binks and Marissa, but honestly, I think we stand a better chance at seeing same sex romance on the online networks done better--and while that prob won't happen if Binks is just around for the first batch of episodes--there is more possibility of it than just having her be in a boring five year along happy relationship with Marissa....
