Ellen disappeared. There was some chance that Rachel, who had a past with her, had killed her, but it turned out she'd just taken a job out of town.

This was after the role had been recast with Marie Alice Recasner.

I can't tell you how much I hope you're wrong.

You and me both. :(

See, I wondered about that - if ABC did get the rights back and by some strange miracle wanted to produce the show again (doubt it would ever happen), would they consider what happened on PP's version of the show canon and start from there, or would they start from their own ending from 2011?

I have a(nother) feeling it would be the latter. If ABC were to revive AMC and/or OLTL, they'd probably ignore whatever happened on PP and pick up the story from the 2011 finale.

I doubt it. Enough of their audience base watched the show, and they know that. They might gloss a lot of it over - nobody's going to miss Celia Fitzgerald disappearing from Pine Valley, though perhaps they'd still like to know the truth about her past - and use throwaway lines of dialogue to cover some dangling plotlines, but I doubt they'd retcon it out of existence.

Plus, if Ron Carlivati was involved (please, no, let's have someone new) he's too obsessed with continuity at all costs. He would bring it up, if only to play with it himself.

The people who were upset with Debbi having to deal with Denise Vasi's acting would be tearing their hair out if she had to work with the misprogrammed robot who plays Felix.

LMAO!

Had.a feeling this would happen people are attacking the actors of AMC and OLTL over their tweets praising PP for their, efforts

That's sad. The only rational thing for fans to do at this point is let go with grace. Of course, I'm holding on to a tiny sliver of hope for the future. I always will, but other than that, I'm letting go.

The mental image, I can never unsee.

Love the poster at DC who says Direct TV gave passions a full year and didnt gut it in the middle

Not the same thing. NBC still owned passions and was paying at least half the production costs if not more. PP didnt get any financial help from ABC. Apples & Oranges..
