Neela is not needed (and if she is--then recast please). . Pat Elliot said in a recet interview she was very pleased with her last scene on the show (I think it was at Asa's grave with Bo?) and she considered herself retired from soaps. Otherwise I'm fine with the others coming back when there's story, but there's no real rush to have them here straight away.

Not their season 2, I hope.... In all seriousness, while I really enjoyed Revenge for much of last year, I don't feel it's written the way a daytime soap (even a "new age" daytime soap) should be.

I can see that, except they never pretended the returning adults when Degrassi TNG started would be major players for the most part--I don't think that's the case here (I hope...)

Just say that they're running it in Paris or something. Prob solved--no to Fusion! (and if/when they ever come back don't bring it back with them, please...) Bianca can realize she never liked the international cosmetic world and re-open Myrtle's boutique (and not that lame mall shop we saw last that Amanda or whoever claimed was what her store had become.)

I think 5 years from the gun shot. But as for actual years and real dates, etc--I wouldn't over-think it, you'll go crazy. Just go with it.

That's what I get for coming home from work and replying to posts as I read them. (I know SFK suggested we don't do this, but I notice he's not following his own rules, so :P )

    • Just compared the open on Friday's episode with the first week episodes. I think the difference is that the bass line is much more apparent -- stronger and harder.
    • Phew, that was close to disaster!

I suspect we would have had a few withdrawals next year if Israel had won. I don't think many people would relish going to Jerusalem as things stand now. Not to mention it would have been a prime target for terrorist attacks.
    • And they've given us plenty. Sets, outdoor scenes, music licensing, etc. And that was the point of me using DAYS... so. It's obvious the casino set is not intended for long-term use, hence why it's likely it wasn't as evolved as the other community sets, etc.

    • I just had thought of how to save the Perkins family. (Inspired by Rituals) -- What if Marisa Perkins was Augusta Lockridge's sister? Fictionally, they could've both been local girls, one married rich and one married poor. Originally, I was going to suggest that Marisa be Sophia's sister, but then I realized Joe and Kelly would've been first cousins.  Of course, it would've truly inspired Sophia was if Rosa Andrade sister, with Rosa and Santana moving in to help CC raise the kids once Sophia disappeared.  While this could've avoided both gross CC and Santana affairs, the times were not right for a story about intersectional inequity.
    • https://www.instagram.com/p/DJxW5DLJLId/ Another World is my forever favorite soap opera. But it's finale is almost universally hated by its fans. What this is, is an edit where I've deleted everything I didn't like!!!
    • The Perkins family had potential to be a nice alternative to the more dysfunctional Capwells and wackier Lockridges... but I think a few factors did in the family. 1) Recasting of Joe Perkins 2) Bad casting of the Perkins Patriarch, and the one note writing for that character. 3) Lack of antagonistic interaction between the Capwells/Lockridges and Perkins.  (There was no awkwardness between Jade/Ted.. or CC disapproving of his son being friends with that Perkins girl, etc). 4) Wasting of Jade thus wasting the potential of the actress (which was realized on Days of Our Lives).  She had more potential than Laken oddly enough. The only member of the Perkins family that had appeal and a somewhat thought out story arc was Amy.
    • @GymnastGuyThanks for posting the three new Capitol 1985 episodes today. The two labeled March 12, and 13 are misidentified. The March 12 labeled one actually aired November 12 1985 which I figured out because Kenny Rogers' movie Wild Horses aired November 12th and it was announced over the "March 12" Cap credits. In addition, Craig Carlson is listed in the April credits but not the March. Craig left Capitol sometime after July 1985 before he rejoined OLTL in the credits by October 15, 1985; he was replaced on Cap by Radcliffe and Hamner. In these posted episodes Radcliffe/Hamner names appear in the March 85 episodes but not in the April.
