Here's the first promo for it. And, it's a 50 anniversary promo too. Not sure if I should have put this here or Spoiler Island. But, there's not really many spoilers in the promo. But, move if so.

This 1979 episode is fantastic. It feels so long, but not in a tedious or boring way. I'm so captivated by the characters and storylines, and the long, effective scenes.

It goes to show the difference when you have someone like Doug Marland writing, as opposed to a Thom Racina/Pat Falken Smith/Sheri Anderson...

I also love the way we get fade to blacks with the dramatic music. That's something all soaps seem to have forgotten how to do well.

I knew the wedding was 1981(come on Brett, who didn't know that? LOL!). I meant when did SOAPnet show it. But I checked and they showed it right after episode 1. They aren't going in order because since then they've shown 2 1993 episodes, a 2006 episode, a 60s episode, and now 1979 episode. They're jumping all over the place.

Oh that's weird. Yeah it goes 1963, 1981 x2, 1993, 1994, 2006, 1963 but then starts with 1979 and goes chronologically after that. Strange.

That close up of Lesley thinking about what Monica said, hearing it in her head, and crying was so emotional and dramatic. I wish we still had that.

This 79 episode right now >>>>>>>

So glad I woke up to this.

Right?! It's amazing. Lesley, Monica, Gail, Bobbie, Tracy, OG Edward, Alan, and Rick all in one episode! Can it even get better? I think not.

I have never gave two shits about Lesley but she has had me captivated all morning. !@#$%^&*] Monica and Rick, and that little slimeball trying to jip Tracy.

I'm not sure that snowstorm/birth of A.J. episode was Marland - I thought he was gone by the end of '79, wasn't he?
