Jodie Foster gave a great speech and moreso because it is so rare she lets anyone see anything about her personal life. I didn't even now he had two kids. As amazing as it was, and as smart and "real" as she seems to be, her loyalty to Mel Gibson is a giant asterix or her can candidacy for perfecthood.

I don't dislike Anne Hathaway, but yes, the speech was very fake and strained.

I have mixed feelings about Jodie Foster but I love that she mentioned the Sally O'Malley SNL character (I'M FIFTY! FIFTY YEARS OLD!), one of my SNL guilty pleasures. The speech was fascinating to watch.

I enjoyed the show and I'm glad that Ricky Gervais wasn't around. I thought Tina and Amy were very funny and I liked how they tried different forms of humor, like the costumes in the audience. I think what I like most about them is that even though they are sharp, they don't seem overly mean. (and I laughed and gasped at that James Cameron joke). They remind me of old, classic hosts.
