I randomly saw an epi a few months ago with Neil and Nick playing basketball shirtless and when I saw Neil I was like DAAAMMNNN I didn't know that was underneath his shirt.

I remember the days when the Y&R men spent half the time shirtless at the gym and on the basketball court. Brad, Nick, Shemar, and Neil were always working out. J.T. came along and he would play basketball with others.

Now I think about it Danny and Paul use to be shirtless too. it always killed me when the later male soap "hunks" started to play divas and think that they were too good to work out, stay in shape, and take their shirts off. The networks have a lot to answer for indulging them in that BS.

Daytime has been substituting writing and good storytelling with nonacting noncharismatic white hunks for about the last 15 years!

There would be plenty of reason to jump for joy had Jill not fired the entire music department and started making this show look and sound like a cheap cable network production. She's basically just giving you something pretty to look at to appease you while the ship goes down. Hell, we should give her the CEO position of general mills so she can make cheerios square and give them the fresh, new look of TODAY.

As opposed to other regimes doing the same thing? Y&R was sh-t before JFP came aboard. Its not any worse now with her in charge than before. So what if she’s hired 3 attractive males to look at. Probably one of the better things she’s done since coming aboard in addition to getting rid of alot of dead weight. CKLily needed a black love interest and its about time she finally got one. Consideirng we arent getting rid of her, it’ll be interesting to see how she copes with that. It just might be the best thing that could have been done with her. Maybe not, but Im not complaining. Besides he seems like a pretty solid actor from what Ive seen so I dont see what the issue is. Y&R used to be known for its diversity but has increasingly become whitewashed over the years. Good on Jill for putting some color back on this soap. She already took the first step on hiring these 3 new finds. Now we need to see them actually utilized. Them being hot is a bonus. Im just glad they were hired instead of the typical cliched “hot caucasian in his 20s” casting calls that we always see pop up

Outside of Joshua Morrow, there really isn't much to look at...so I'm fine with being "distracted" by the newbies

Considering RC and FV are in charge, Im surprised they didnt go around hiring hunks after they came to GH. All the men that have been added since they started have been pretty average at best

Why is it such a big deal when JFP hires new black males but it wasn't a big deal when anyone else hired white hunks?

RC and FV never had good taste in men when they were on OLTL. Brody was the only good looking guy with a cut body that I can recall them hiring. Scott Evans was alright, but all the rest were pretty average so they are doing the same GH.

Most of their OLTL men were average too!

But they made a very big point of pimping and parading the Ford brothers and there were tons of gratuitous shirtless/boxer brief scenes of the various male characters. I think they realized that this was GH and they couldn't just carry over all of their OLTL sensibilities, or frankly, that they'd be called out and forever stamped as being the hornball flesh worshippers they seemed to be on One Life.
