WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

My thing has always been to just look at what the actors want. If they live in LA and want to continue on GH--let them. If you recast the roles you may as well create a new role. There are already going to be a large number of roles that will probably have to be recast, so why create even more trouble for yourselves? Knowing the messy situation, fans would be even less likely to accept recasts for these roles. These shows are half hour so they don't need every character full time. Crossovers here and there would be more than enough. I think people are going to be in for a shock when these show premiere and they start to see these shows can't service all of these cast members. If I were producing the show I'd look at the GH 3 as a hidden blessing. Three less people to worry about and more room for the new writers to create new characters.

It's assuming that PP wants to use all three characters the same way, 2.) it doesn't take into account that RH's contract situation is reportedly different from the other two. (one year vs three years) and 3.) it ignores that these are three separate people with their own professional wants, needs and goals.

This whole thing is based on assumption until the first episodes air anyway

Also IMHO Starr can easily be recast if they wanted. Hell OLTL recast Jessica after 12 years with Erin torpey & Bree Williamson became a fan fave. It can happen again & maybe it should.

GH is more important than a dead show any day of any week and that has nothing to do with the trio! While I wish John and Starr would go the !@#$%^&*] away, OLTL did quite well without the 3 characters and survived when RH left for 8 years. What transpired behind the scenes had nothing to do with the fans. If the survival of OLTL 2.0 rests on these 3 characters, it has failed already! There are so many characters to work with so why are we hung up on these 3?

Yes they will get paid per their ABC contract. Yes he could play Caleb even after killing people. Heather has & Anthony Z was there for years. Its highly possible.

I disagree with this. Todd was successfully recast and Easton does nothing for me. I would welcome a new face for John.

ABC can always just terminate the contracts and not have to worry about paying them

As for the second part, I doubt Heather is dead and Alison can always be brought back. That leaves a minor cop on the hitlist. Not that it matters as others have had higher body counts and remained for quite some time.

That's nonsense. It has nothing to do with GH at that point. Right now you have three actors who want to play the roles. If you recast them in roles they were willing to continue playing (whether on GH or OLTL), fans are going to have a difficult time with the recast. Considering the amount of recasts they might have to deal with they need to prioritize.

Michael Easton killed three people?! In that case, I suggest they give him what he wants.
