HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

Soaps In Depth has heard exclusive details about the taping schedule for the revivals of ALL MY CHILDREN and ONE LIFE TO LIVE. According to a source close to the productions, AMC will tape first for two weeks at the Stamford, Connecticut studios. Then, OLTL will shoot episodes for five weeks. Next, AMC will return and tape for five weeks. "They'll be alternating back and forth until each show has completed 17 weeks of taping," says a source. "Everyone is looking forward to seeing each other again."

As previously reported, Prospect Park has announced that production will commence the week of February 25.

LOL TnB are dunzo, cause OLTL is so going to pair Blair and Toe-mas full time

That's going to be hard with Ted King not signing on.

: Sounds like PP may have wanted to start filming AMC sooner but wasnt ready so they will only tape two weeks at first then tape 5 weeks each other time. Sounds like they are sharing the same studio and alternating filming. Given taht Nelson at Soaps Uncensored stated each soap will have 168 episodes of original content plus 42 recap shows, it seems to me each soap will film 10 episodes a week .

I'm guessing AMC is taping first if only to accommodate the name actors who are only gonna be returning to resolve the cliffhanger, which makes me think there are more names coming than we think.

My take on the production schedules for both soaps

AMC

Feb 25-March 8 (2)

April 15-May 17 (5)

June 24-Aug 2 (5 Prod weeks with a week off for July 4th week)

Sept 9th-Oct 11th (5)

=17 weeks of production

OLTL

March 11-April 12th (5)

May 20-June 21 (5)

Aug 5-Sept 6 (5, with Labor day off)

Oct 14-Oct 25 (2)

=17 weeks of Production

VI Tweeted awhile back that they'll be taping 2 episodes per day, so 20 episodes taped those first two weeks (Monday-Friday) will yield AMC five weeks of episodes airing (Monday-Thursday).

i actually could go for that

Same here.

And we could have a tormented [and Catholic] Tea flee to her motherly figure Carlotta for advice on her "forbidden feelings."

Of course Patricia Mauceri would have to be brought back for this storyline. wink.png

I'm the exact opposite. AMC was filled to the rafters with plot point kids and I will be more than happy not to have to deal with them again and frankly I find all these grown folks following and fixating on child actors to be creepy.

Amen. I don't get it--no shade directed at anyone here, but I don't even get how child actors--especially on soaps where they get replaced so quickly--are on twitter.
