Members MrQuartermaine
It makes sense. And with AMC using so many veterans, it's easier for them to be on recurring due to health and schedules.

Members rhinohide
It's not about the [!@#$%^&*] ACTORS. It's about the characters.
Members alexisfan07
Yea but not having a single cast member locked down seems very dangerous to me. Could disrupt storylines constantly.

Members SFK
I'm assuming they mean "recurring" just in terms of storyline/appearances opposed to contract status.
Members rhinohide
Depends on how vet intensive the story lines are.
Members EnglishTea
I don't doubt that Bren knows more information than most, but I highly doubt that all the characters on AMC on recurring (not reoccurring). The structure may be different than the standard broadcast, but the show has to have some clauses, which don't allow for actors to split in the middle of a tape/shoot schedule. Because it is not cost effective to have a main character (or any character really) leave in the middle of the story - shut down production while the show goes through the re-cast process. Members EricMontreal22
That's what I think. Maybe they just have shorter cycle contracts? (I know nothing about contracts so this is just conjecture).
Members alexisfan07
Yea like maybe renegotiate every five-week filming cycle? I could see that
Members SFK
I don't know what he knows or his full understanding of what he's heard, but it's possible that they're paying day-player rates opposed to weekly rates.
Members marceline
If that's true then this is going to suck!!! AMC is gonna be so much better off!!! OLTL is going to have Sean, Rama and Vimal getting less time then everybody else!! What does it mean for Destiny if Sean isn't getting any airtime?!?! I knew PP would screw this up!! Arghhhh, I'm not going to watch!!!!!! (Sorry but it looked like we were going to go the whole day without a hysterical freakout. I couldn't let that happen. )
Members EricMontreal22
That makes zero sense. Because the actors listed as recurring on that OLTL list are hardly the actors who wouldbe the most in demand by some other acting venue (no offence to the actors...) If it hadn't been you posting this, I would have almost believed it from certain other posters....
