Since PP owns the characters, their contract MUST be with PP. Unless, ABC re-negotiates the contracts where half their salary comes from ABC and the other half from PP, so that both share the characters. It's such an unheard of situation though, so who knows honestly.

How can you be so absolutely certain? I don't think Easton is going anywhere. And I don't think PP is giving up the character. I just don't think they are that stupid. What do they get in return? I don't see what leverage ABCD has to entice PP to do that?

PP is just doing what they think is best for their production. They aren't sticking to GH out of spite. They are launching a new production and it's an uphill climb. By comparison, Ron and Frank having to retool 3 characters on the canvas is barely a glitch. They've been doing that over and over again since they showed up. First they were writing toward what at first seemed an almost certain cancellation date. Then they were extended and they retooled stories to carry them forward, then they had to retool those stories when Burton quit, while planning all these returns for the 50th anniversary. They're very adaptable. And the audience seems to adapt with them. They'll be fine.

I have to admit I would probably watch Kristen Alderson wearing a cheap looking black wig and returning to GH as a rock star named Elvira. It would be some laughs and probably no worse than any story she's had since about 2004.

Mine are blanked out. I can see them, but they're like faded or something and I can't click on any of the posting options. sad.png

LOL. Thanks. It's good to know but you should probably be grateful I haven't been around. I haven't been too happy with the damage I believe Cartini inflicted on the OLTL brand. Had to step away from the mess. I am no wide eyed optimist, and I am very leery of PP, but I can't help being excited for the potential resurrection of OLTL. And I want it to have every chance to succeed. So I'm sorry to the GH fans, but I can't get all bent out of shape because these three actors and Cartini are being inconvenienced. They've been playing, while my favorite show and characters have been gone for a year, and I'm going to get to see them again. That's where my passion is. I don't want it to necessarily come at GH's expense, but it doesn't bother me that much either. So you're right. It's not really an us vs. them thing. But I will never be convinced that Todd and John are more essential to GH's success than they are to PP's. JMHO.

The best case senario is putting them full time on GH buy doing arcs on OLTL as needed. I can't see the actors agreeing to anything else since they live in LA and prefer to be on GH. Since PP wants the characters full time, we need to look forward to recasts and new characters on GH. I would stop negotiating and just write the new characters.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. But if GH is keeping the actors as new characters, and PP is keeping the characters but recasting, then Easton, Howarth, and Alderson should never appear on OLTL as those characters. They should just reboot with new actors.
