Someone on SOC said this about J.R. Martinez

I met JR Martinez at a book signing last week. I asked him if he was coming back to AMC and he said he would be there the first week and then maybe make guest appearances to support the fans and the show. It might be Brot.

Maybe they're getting more people than we realize to sort of re-stage that final cliffhanger scene? That or he just flat out lied to this fan lol.

I don't see that as a lie. I can see why he wouldn't consider that to be "joining" the show.

Well PP did say in that press release last week to expect more casting announcements in the coming weeks for both AMC and OLTL.....so it wouldn't be a stretch to assume that.

That ship sailed on the last taping day for AMC, when she walked out of the studio and gave a big "F You!" middle finger before getting into her limo.

I will throw in my two cents and say that Susan Lucci will sign on (even if short term) as a favor to Agnes Nixon.

I don't think Susan will get involved unless the show is a success. She's doing other projects and she probably feels burnt out with AMC. I think Erica, as important as she was to AMC, could also be rested for a while, without a huge impact on the canvas. The show had a very tough time writing for her in later years, and it showed, IMO.

I imagine she'll do it, it's just a matter of finding the time and whether her Devious Maids contract will let her do it. Plus, in the spring, she'll be shooting new episodes of Deadly Affairs.

I don't think JR M. lied to his fans. He probably was planning to be part of it, but had a scheduling conflict. And/or he is still going to be part out if, and they are starting to crack down on the cast because they are more concerned with the cliffhanger, even if the show doesn't directly picking up from that point.

I know, I'm getting impatient. I don't expect to hear much of anything else for OLTL other than the GH Three resolution.
