I feel like he'll be back eventually. He sounds like he hasn't completely closed the door on it, and I actually think a new regime + the show's timeout might actually help Ryan as a character. It seemed that after '05 they decided to just throw him into everything and see if it would stick. I would like to see Ryan return to being the flawed but loyal guy in PV without being a sacrimonious douchenozzle.

Did you see the bio they had up for Ryan on the abc site years ago? It was barf worthy, pretty sure Frons wrote it himself while staring at a cardboard cutout of Ryan

I never had a problem with Cameron. He seemed like a great guy and a great ambassador for the show. I just thought they really misused Ryan in the later years.

Ryan was a good character before Greenlee and before McTavish going all worship-nuts on him. I always say it is she (Greenlee) who damaged his character. He was changed for that pairing more than she was changed for that pairing.

I've been watching old Ryan & Kendall couple videos on YouTube, and damn - kidnapped, beated, and killed 100 times over potential. Frons messed up with that with his desire for Rylee. They killed R/K 100 times over, and I doubt they could ever do them successfully again (I don't even want them to ever try again) BUT the videos just brought me back to when I thought they were hot as hell in all their dysfunctional, hyper-lust glory.

You know, I always did get the impressions she wrote Rylee like such a-holes because she was being forced to write their pairing.

Ryan and Kendall 1.0 were better writing-wise, I agree. But, 2.0 was hotter IMO. Ryan came back as an extra cock-y bastard (who was now best freinds with Greenlee) but still the sizzle was on for a good while there. He'd try to run her, she'd insult him and tell him off, she'd play hard to get, he'd play hard to get, they were both in lust with each other, the whole angle of her being more in love with her sister than him (which reminds me, AMC used to be GAY in such a fun way)! Good soapy stuff.

The most interesting tidbit from the interview to me is that that the shows will be 25 minutes sans commercials; certainly more time than I was expecting.

Yeah--as it is because of how much huge commercial time is allowed on network daytime, a full hour soap like GH comes to about 36 minutes without commercials (and has for at least the past 10-15 years), and a 30 minute one more like 18 mins which is what I was expecting. I know when they force you to watch commercials on online show they usually have less commercial time, so I hope this is right--though if they wanted to market it to a network with commercials they might have to cut or do something.

I'm surprised OLTL's film start date is unknown when they seem to have more actors signed, head-writers plus some script writers, etc, yet AMC has a tentative start date.

I think this just says (if anything) that AMC for whatever reason is probably further along in casting, etc, than we've had reported. Maybe Agnes Nixon already wrote a detailed first month outline (I kid, I promise...)

This is why I turned my back on "journalism" in the 21st century.

For these people the enjoyment seems to be all about the gossip and "breaking news" earliest--than actually watching the show or discussing it with fans (the hyperbolic praise of a certain writer plays into this, I think). Without sounding too much like a suck up, I appreciate that this site doesn't do that with their news releases, etc.
