Members Eric83
Roger Newcomb from We Love Soaps says we should be getting news on the writers very soon. Hopefully on Monday lol.
Members LeClerc
Can't imagine Jeff Beldner would leave Y&R (unless JG and JFP fired him and we haven't heard about it yet). Addie Walsh and Lisa Connor I think are the safest bets. Lisa has the added connection of having been a supervising producer alongside the EP Ginger Smith. Rebecca Taylor is also probably a safe bet (unfortunately). Stephen Demorest was a McTavish hire so probably not. Same with Pete T. Rich. I never understood who brought Chip Hayes to AMC so he is a big question mark. As soon as Agnes Nixon became HW in 1999 she immediately snapped up Fred Johnson from GL so we know she likes him. Probably won't be any real surprises for AMC Curious about OLTL.

Members Soaplovers
I do recall enjoying Lucky Gold's brief tenue as head-writer on GL, I dont recall why he was demoted.. I'm intrigued with Susan Bedsow Horgan.. based on her brief head writing stint on ATWT. What I saw of the show during her brief tenue was pretty good especially with her focus on the Hughes Family (bringing back Nancy/Chris.. reintroduction of Frannie, etc). A shame she didnt get a chance to head-write on another soap, but probably due more to her wishes, imho.
Members Dale
Do you all think that whomever they hire for head writer will have more freedom and flexibility with PP than they had with ABC? This could be a great opportunity for talented head writers with imagination and talent for writing multi-generational stories. Or will PP be as prescriptive and as interfering as the network suits? Members KMan101
I think they'll be somewhat lax but who knows?
Members Soaplovers
I imagine that there will be some interference, but hopefully to reign in a writer if they go overboard not stop their creativity. According to previous posts, it sounds like this Foz guy is amazed and in awe at how fantastic Agnes Nixon is... so that is a good sign especially since ABC didnt think Agnes Nixon knew anything about soaps. Members dragonflies
http://rdsn.net/buzz/2013/01/10/podcast-478-bree-williamson-of-nbcs-deception/ Fans may remember Bree from playing the role of Jessica Buchanan Brennan on ABC Daytime‘s former soap, “One Life to Live.” Recently, it was announced that both “OLTL” and “All My Children” would return to the web and start production in February. We asked if she would consider going back to the soap she once called home: “Of course, I would consider it. I loved that show. My life was awesome when I was on ‘One Life to Live,’ and it’s awesome now. I think there are a lot of things that have to be worked out, but I would consider anything. I’m being vague because I don’t know what is going on, I live in Los Angeles now, (One Life) is shooting in Connecticut, and it’s happening fast. I think some people are not being open about it because no one knows what it is yet. I loved the show, the characters, and everyone I worked with. If there was a universe where it worked out, great! However, getting there is another thing, too. I don’t know what it is yet, so I can’t say anything.”
