Members marceline
Showing the appropriate reverence for Her Royal Highness is a good starting point. Good that he's picked up on that.
Members SFK
At times a bit repetitive with that same old spot in the park, but AMC's outdoor sequences in Los Angeles were very easy on the eyes.
Members EricMontreal22
Oh I was gonna say about 3-4 months later, Marlena's review (whatever you think of her critiques) had completely turned around to how awful it was. And I agreed.... I disagree with Carl about the end of Broderick's 90s run, but yeah. We've had good ALMOST years (like when Agnes returned to do the coming out story before Passanante's stuff took over as well as others, even with McTavish IMHO) but not longer. Sigh. But I think that's true of a lot of soaps post mid 90s Although by UK tv standards, the budgets are fairly high. Remember Corrie and Eastenders in particular routinely are at the top of the tv ranks. OK which makes even more sense why Nixon and Brown/Esensten were there. They prob submitted scripts like Jesse/Angie reunion. As everyone who knows her keeps saying, she's still as sharp as ever, even if her body is more frail. And it seems at this time of her life she has less other stuff to occupy her time... (which sounds harsh, but you know what I mean) As does Corrie--you used to be able to tour the old ones.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
The UK soaps, though faced with some cuts over the years, are still among the most expensive and high budgeted British television productions. It's not really an apples to apples comparison. Corrie and EastEnders are also still the cornerstone of ITV1 and BBC One's respective schedules, though clearly not as socially embedded as they once were. Members DRW50
I'd put you on the list before me, but I definitely agree about saynotoursoap. I'd add Paul Raven as well.
Members EricMontreal22
allmc2008, I think you're enthusiasm and posts are wonderful, but you may not wanna send this guy too many random soap clips, as great as they are... just saying... *ducks* A random thought. One reason Pratt's debut may have seemed so exciting also was, apparently, Frons basically left him alone. He was a fairly expensive "buy" for AMC, Frons adored and trusted him, and gave him a producer credit. So, unlike B/E and others, he probably had (for good and ultimately bad) a lot more control of his own material.
Members NothinButAttitude
I suggest that PP makes PaulRaven, Saynotoursoap, CarlD2, and Khan as consultants. Stat!

Members EricMontreal22
Ha it's fine, and cute--I don't wanna sound like a spoilsport--but you don't want him to join in your Soap Fans are Crazy thread soon... (and at this point, while I think it would be in his best interest to educate himself about soaps--I don't think he has much creative say).
