Cheap & All My Shadows - wow thanks you guys ;'-). Cheap I would say is one of my faves because it seems I relate & have pop culture stuff in common w/her the most. She cracks me the hell up & I just feel like we'd be instant BFF's outside the board. AMS along w/his partner in crime SFK make me laugh too. The way you two interact with each other has always made me LOL. Individually, I miss your contributions to the AMC discussions and always get some enjoyment out of the way you both express yourselves in your posts. I will also add CarlD2 because his posts are always well put together & often make me think or learn something. Sometimes I laugh HARD, like when he gives his on and off weekly commentary on magazine covers or bluntly says something snappish about you name it; I don't know why but I always find it hilarious when Carl brings the snark. Lastly, I'd add EricMontreal22. Really admire his love for all things AMC. I always agreed with him on most things and looked forward to hearing what he had to say. It's always good when he pops back in around here.

Those are just 5, which the the title unfortunately suggests but I also have to give a few quick shout outs to my arch enemy Jonathan, fellow AM/Kendall fan dragonflies, hilarious ChitHappens, bad bitch R Sinclair, Queen marceline, King Khan, horn dog Toups, down to earth JackPeyton, & awesome Eric83 icon1.gif

MissLlanviewPA, you are infinitely adorable & remarkably passionate about your soap faves. I gotta love that. And, I just realized I have been neglecting to give you Survivor updates on Lisa. OOPS! LOL ;-(

OMG I can't believe I forgot EricMontreal22. Another SON oldie that I will always have a soft spot for. His encyclopedic knowledge of disco, Agnes Nixon, and theatre is gay as dafuq but also extremely sexy. Eric, if you're out there reading this, know that you're one of my SON faves and I'd totally try to tap dat if I came across you in a club.

I'm here! Oh, and by the way, you spelled my name incorrectly. I'll forgive you this one time....

We're enemies? Give me some advanced notice next time.

I also forgot Eric, I guess because he isn't here too often now. He's another person I always go to read their posts immediately if I see their name. And he let me know about so much good Donna Summer music.

There are others I didn't mention as I knew they'd already be heavily mentioned, but I wanted to add FrenchFan, who has done so many wonderful synopses for us over the years, which must take a huge amount of time.

Now that I have some time let me expand.

Daytimefan & Cat, as I previously mentioned, always bring a smile to my face. I read their posts in topics I dont post in or have any interest in even. Ive always enjoyed them and am glad they are simi-active

Carl, what would SON be without carl? We almost never agree, and I find his extreme Will Horton hatred to be, well, extreme, but i love his love and passion for the history of the genre.

I am giving love back to AMS, but AMS would make my list anyways smile.png. Same with Cheap, whom I do not think we agree on more than 3 things ever, but I always look forward to posts by.

And as for previous posters, I sure do miss Sylph. I know ppl had legit issues with him, but I always enjoyed him, his posts and our DM's.

What I like most about you Jack is that you always take time to really explain how you feel about everything, even when we've had the same conversation 500 times, or even when I know little about a show you mention. I always feel like I can ask you about some of these primetime shows and you'll give a good answer.

I miss Sylph in the primetime section.

    • After the slap it does feel inevitable - being arrested and thrown out right after her big win.
    • Yesterday it was Theo and Jada.  Today it's Chad and Belle.  What a mess.
    • I asked my soap historian GPT to help pull together the best available sources on Daniel Pilon’s run, and here’s what the research confirms: * Pilon played Max Dubujak on *Ryan’s Hope* from 1983–88. * He began appearing as Alan Spaulding on *Guiding Light* in 1988. * An academic source notes that he appeared as **Max and Alan simultaneously in November 1988 * His later-life interviews mention major upheavals, including losing his home in the Northridge earthquake and declaring bankruptcy in 1994.  That’s the factual foundation. Now for the human side of it. I’ll admit Pilon was never my favorite Alan. The Spauldings are supposed to have that patrician, Midwestern money vibe, and suddenly here comes this very European-sounding gentleman sweeping into Springfield like he wandered in from a different soap entirely. It created a strange tonal shift, at least in my memory. Whether he was intended to be temporary is hard to pin down, but honestly, looking at what he was dealing with in his real life, I don’t know that the show ever had a truly stable window to figure it out. He was going through marital strife, while being talked about as the "next James Bond" back in Canada, and juggling work on two soaps at once is a lot. Under those circumstances, the question of whether he was the “right” type for Alan becomes almost secondary to the fact that he was working through multiple emergencies while stepping into one of GL’s biggest roles. So for me, the story of his Alan isn’t just about casting fit. It’s about an actor navigating chaos and the show adapting on the fly. Also, the proverbial soap hill that I would defend its honor, is that Ron Raines in the final week was so amazing, that for me, it erases all prior memories of his performance.
    • I wish Nicole had swallowed but it is what it is lol
    • You're probably right, but it's such a mistake to have Dani return to Bill. I do not want that. I like Bill, but that's probably because he's so much better than his garbage wife. Having Dani take back the guy who NEVER stopped cheating on her during their marriage would be a terrible mistake.  Yes, it's a mistake I can see Dani making. That doesn't mean I want to see it.
    • That's funny, I totally didn't think about the possibility that they'll pin this on someone else.  I assumed they'd just roll him into the water.  Obviously, I would not make an ideal hitman. I hope it's not Laura.
    • Andre/Dani, be still my heart
