Weren't there rumors that LW wasn't fond of the Carly/Shawn pairing?

Yes, unfounded rumors from upset fans. I was pissed, but it just makes no sense that LW would spend an entire year with Sean if all she had to do what go to Jill and possibly get out of it.

It would not surprise me. As I said, it was evident to me that Guza at least regarded it as Backburner City.

Makes little sense since Guza had Carly front burner since LW began in 2005. She was everywhere, and even LW wondered why Carly was in certain scenes/stories. LW asked for less airtime, and when she didn't get it, she bought an apartment close to the studio. She was grateful that GW cut Carly's time onscreen. Also, if Guza wanted to bb her, why not just do it? Instead, they bring in this gorgeous chocolate adonis for a romance with their lead female? I don't get it. Just decrease her airtime and have Carly in a supportive role with her friends and family.

I heard that "rumor" from a very reliable source

I heard it on FB and fans were asking LW on her Twitter. I could not believe what I was reading.

Laura wasn't happy with it & neither was her husband, John.

I don't buy that one bit.

From what I heard from various sources, Laura went on the record saying it at multiple fan events last year. I was in John Wright's presence once when he voiced his displeasure with it.

That makes absolutely no sense that John would do something like that publicly, and if that were the case, I'd love to believe that would have been all over the place and not just popping up now. Stuff like that spread like wildfire.

I was on LW's Twitter for the entire time she was with Sean onscreen, and she would tweet things like "going to PC to play with Shawn", when Carly walked in on Shawn in a towel, LW tweeted "Looks like you guys enjoyed the show today". After the first kiss, LW tweeted several times "wow, these responses are crazy" and thanked the fans for their support. I've posted this before, and I don't mind writing it again. When a fan tweeted to LW that she would not watch Shawn and Carly because she was "old school", LW asked what she meant and asked her to explain herself. The poster dropped it. Before the Veterans eppy aired last year, LW and Sean were on the set playing around. She was tweeting responses to the fans for him because Sean does not have Twitter. She told us that they just got finished filming some great scenes.

What may or may not have transpired behind the scenes, I don't know. However, I never saw LW do anything but be professional, and as an actress if she didn't like it, give her another Emmy because you couldn't tell. What she may have been thinking? Why is that my business?

Did they say what their issue was?

I have to say that I agree with CH about the Sean Blakemore situation.

Also, MrQuartermaine....You know I respect you and love talking to you, but you HONESTLY think that Vanessa Marcil deserved to beat out Robin Christopher for that Emmy in 2003? Really? Just no. Same thing in 2005, but with that ratchet bootleg Emily.

It makes no sense, especially in regards to her husband as this man gave up his very lucrative business and moved his family across country because of his wife's career, so he would do something so damaging to her career publicly? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. NOT!

Thank you! Robin Christopher deserved that Emmy both times. I can handle Vanessa Marcil but Natalia Livingston winning was and still is a joke.

I can't handle VM for the sheer reason that she was a glorified guest star who came back to get a check. Robin was a regular on the show who acted her ASS off that year. They should have engraved that statue as soon as that courtroom scene aired.

In her best efforts, VM is not as good as RC's shoelace! VM's last great work was when Sonny found out Brenda was spying for the Feds. VM was so damn good, and I thought she had nowhere to go but up. Boy, was I mistaken!

Oh, I agree with you. I just meant that, while not great, I can at least handle Vanessa Marcil as an actress; Natalia Livingston was absolutely horrible. Neither one of them should have Emmys and certainly should not have beaten Robin Christopher.

I'm one of the very few who didn't believe NL stunk to high heaven. Emmy worthy? Hell no, but she was sufficient. That said, Diego became my 2nd favorite character for strangling that dry bitch, Em!

Do I think Vanessa deserved it more than Robin did? No, but I do believe she was willing of an Emmy that year.
