I really could care less about the Jason/Sam fans. That couple helped annihilate this show. As did Steve Burton, so good riddance.

Lord knows I'm no JaSam fan, and I wish Sam were the one leaving the show. Useless heifer, she is! But fans deserve a payoff, and JaSam have been tortured since October, and then Steve is forced off the show? That is one helluva way to return an investment.

I'm not judging this show based on anything other than how I feel about what I'm currently watching. What Guza/Phelps did, what Guza & Pratt/Phelps did... What McTavish/Phelps did... what Guza/Riche did... It has nothing to do with what's happening on my screen right here, right now. I am not going to be pigeonholed into the incredibly simple minded idea that "If you think Cartini = Bad then you automatically must think Guza/JFP = Good"

No.

I think Cartini = Clowns because they brought Jerry Jax back from the dead for 8 weeks of a pointless storyline, that concluded with everyone in town getting cured by dancing and kissing in the rain. No one died, except an invisible character (The Aussie Three excluded because Ewen was shot to death and the Jacks boys ostensibly blew up). For what seems like 3 weeks, everyone was depicted to not be affected by this pathogen at all -- except a couple of fainting spells, a few throwaway lines about skyrocketing fevers and the times when the prop/makeup people actually remembered to make the people look sweaty. However, for the most part, for a town of dying people, everyone was running around town like they ingested a bunch of espresso instead of a fast acting, debilitating pathogen. We even got to watch Sam take out the time to tell us all a cute little fairy tale, which, to me, was a kick in the face to the JaSam fans who have been jerked around enough this past year.

Oh! And why did Jerry do ALL of this again? Because he needed $88 million for some medical treatment? EIGHTY EIGHT MILLION DOLLARS FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT?!! On what planet does anyone charge that much? What the hell would they be using on Jerry? Medical equipment made of precious metals?

Hey, look. Love what you love, enjoy what you enjoy. I just hate the blatant attempts at manipulation I can see coming from a mile away. So much piled onto the surface to disguise the incredible lack of substance. I sincerely think these two are pandering, doing everything they "think" is GH by mimicking what's been done in the past. Unfortunately, they're mimicking the location shoots, the gun play, the explosions, the campiness... but ignoring the characters and genuine emotional underpinning of the story.

All this right here

That couple has been given the moon and the stars and the lion's share of airtime and story for years. They wasted an episode on their fantasy future last week. Their payoff is their baby alive and well. And that he's surely not going to die and will likely return in the future when the Monavie money dries up. I don't think they deserve anything else.

Steve should've been fired for the Monavie scandal. This will suffice.

I know that. I'll take it, is my point. Watching Steve Burton be rapidly made irrelevant has been one of the joys of my life.

It would mean something to me if they didn't fill his spot with someone equally as boring and wooden.

Oh, I could go on all day about my blinding hatred for John McBain on OLTL. I have before. But on GH? He's a cop doing a cop's job, which is such a huge shift in the makeup of the show, and I think very important. And the one thing ME was always good at on OLTL was the cop stuff. I also like the pairing with Sam despite his wretched treatment of Natalie - which I am almost willing to forgive due to the marginalization of Jason, and the fact that my beloved Natalie will be liberated from his McClutches (as will Sam from Jason's). I haven't liked John and Natalie together since 2004. So it's a win win for me. But YMMV, obviously. I'm not running for Mayor of Soap Opera Network.

Alrighty then. Lol! If you hate John as much as you say, we are going to get along quite nicely. I don't care who else you don't like, but anyone who dislikes this useless POS, is certainly a friend of mine!

We didn't need John McLame to come to town when they could've just written Dante, Delores, and Anna to do their jobs. Delores got bumped down to cop #3 now.

Obamacare is a BITCH.

It's nice seeing Felicia again smile.png Hope they keep showing her every once in a while

Dork note: the clothes Kristen, Chad and Erik are wearing are what Kristen tweeted they were wearing for their new promo shots

Out of curiosity, I check out some clips from yesterday. I *shuddered* watching them. I literally, physically twitched.

Damn, I feel sorry for you guys. Just...damn.

I hope one of the clips didn't include them all being cured of the pathogen by hugging and kissing in the artificial rain. We may not always get along, but even I know better than to inflict that upon some unsuspecting viewer.

That was the one! That's the one that gave me the shakes and frankly, the twitching was a nice relief from the constant rolling of my eyes.

I'm just so, so sorry. I haven't felt so bad for a soap's audience since Kim Zimmer was sweating her balls off in Peapack.
