Speaking of Edge - I love the closing music to the Edge of Night in the late 70s and their 80-83 videos. saynotoursoap made some awesome videos I've watched so many times.

I like jazzy Eastenders too.

I LOVED this opening and theme, my favorite part is the breakdown at :18.

For its time, the theme was pretty hip. I didn't mind the show as it felt more modern than some of the soaps still on today (filming wise), but I hated that it replaced Loving and a lot of the characters I liked were murdered.

I still can't believe Another World kept this sh!t until 1996. Even by 1989 this was dated as hell.

JFP's opening might not be to everyone's liking, but she had the right idea. There is no reason why this paintbox opening should have lasted until 1996. Neither NBC or PGP paid any attention to this show until it was canceled.

I think GL is the only soap with so many great themes. I can't think of another soap that has such a great variety of theme music.

They had amazing themes over the years.

The Another Life opening was so soothing, at least before they changed it to the one with the jump cuts. I can't find a longer version of the closing credits but they also had that music.
