July 4, 201213 yr Member I started this thread because they were talking about Andy Griffith and how The Andy Griffith Show ended its run still at #1. Any other show that ended its run still at #1?
July 4, 201213 yr Author Member I forgot about I Love Lucy. Gawd I just hated Seinfeld ...I didnt get all the hoopla about it.
July 4, 201213 yr Member What about MASH? Even with the finale factored in, the #1 series of its final season (1982-1983) was 60 Minutes. MASH was tied for #3 that season with Magnum PI.
July 4, 201213 yr Member Didn't the Cosby show finish at #1? Same here about Seinfeld, it's overrated big time
July 4, 201213 yr Author Member Didn't the Cosby show finish at #1? Same here about Seinfeld, it's overrated big time Nope...the Cosby Show had dropped out of the #1 spot for some time when Bill ended the show.
July 5, 201213 yr Member Didn't the Cosby show finish at #1? Same here about Seinfeld, it's overrated big time Cosby finished at #18 and ditto with the Seinfeld hate
July 5, 201213 yr Member I Love Lucy and Seinfeld are the only two other shows to end on top. Ironically, The show Lucy had after that The Lucy Show finished at #2 in their final season behind Andy Griffith. She almost did it twice.
July 5, 201213 yr Member That would have been awesome if she had done it 2 times. She was so great. Probably the best comedic actress of all time.
July 5, 201213 yr Member I hate everyone in here :-), Seinfeld's been my favorite show since elementary school. I remember talking to my teacher about the series finale.
July 5, 201213 yr Member I like Seinfeld too, it's not my favourite show of all-time and the last two seasons or so could have some down right dire episodes, but it was funny for the sheer stupidity of the situations/characters.
July 5, 201213 yr Member I also like Seinfeld but rarely watched it during its original run. I really grew to appreciate it in syndication, which gave me a certain satisfaction knowing I was enjoying the show for itself and not because of all the hype.
