If we expand this to TV, Melissa Reeves was in a Hitchhiker episode about a family who were slaughtered by burglars. Susan Sarandon was in Rocky Horror. Ellen Burstyn was in The Exorcist. I haven't actually seen it, but from what she's said--things don't turn out very well for her character . I actually was looking through a bunch of old SODs the other day (I'm trying to get rid of them--I have WAY too much stuff!), and the Halloween issue from 2003 had a feature on soap actors in horror movies.
