That's not how it works. If you've been drinking and you hurt or kill a child, it doesn't matter if the child's mother threw the kid in the street. You're still going down for traffic manslaughter.

My cousin's little boy hanged himself playing. That didn't make it his mother's fault or negligence. Kids do stupid things and they get killed.

Sorry my friend, this is where we part ways. Discovery happened several days after the fact, so there is no proving Luke was drunk. Anyone could have hit that child! The alcoholism story that followed was embarrassing! I'm still traumatized! The intervention was well done, but Luke self healed. Also, when he and Carly were scheming not so long ago, Luke wanted an open bar tab in case he needed to entertain someone. Carly was all too willing to give it to him. Ridiculous!

It is his fault in the fact that he was the one driving, but the situation wasnt as simple as that.

Oh please it has nothing to do with Liz hate. Ive hate Luke for a long while and wish they got rid of him a long time ago, but I dont think that accident could have been prevented. Him staying one or 2 nights in jail doesnt change the fact that Jake is dead

Luke's tirades do not change the fact that it was a tragic accident. How some choose to handle these things will always leave us scratching our heads. It was a lot of pain talking. I don't ever want to think of how it feels to kill someone even if by accident. Can you imagine how Luke, or anyone, must have felt?
