Y&R: More SORASing on the way

Fenmore and Summer will be teens

Kyle isn't the only Genoa City youngster who will be hit with a case of SORAS this summer: THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS is aging the characters of Summer and Fen, as well, meaning that cuties Samantha Bailey and Robbie Tucker will be leaving the soap.

Y&R has issued casting calls for 18-year-old actors who can play 15 or 16, and will begin auditions for the recurring roles next week. Phyllis and Nick's daughter is being described as fiesty and fun budding beauty, who is a typical teenager, while Michael and Lauren's son is an all-American good kid who is returning from boarding school and having some issues adjusting to life back home.

Watch them both be annoying pricks with chips on their shoulders. rolleyes.gif

Isnt that most soap teens? It's why I dont mind when they skip over the teen years and bring them back at age 20. Though in the case of Ricky he came back with mental issues.

Wait, how old is Trischitta again? Well. He can join Y&R as Fenmore, if he wants to, but I'm still looking at the clock and waiting 'til that bastard turns 18 before I start crushing on him.

I have no problem with SORAS'ing these characters. More Michael and Lauren. Will be interesting how Phick handles a wild child.

Chances are, Nick will be his usual, hypocritical, douchebag self, while Phyllis will just stand there, blink her eyes a lot and punctuate every line of dialogue with "Really?".

Gotta wait 10 more months....lol

Wow, this really pushes up the ages of Nick and Phyllis. Doesn't seem right for them to have a child that old already.

I'm surprised Y&R just refuses to use Lauren's first-born son. Is he still hiding from the threat of Sheila?

Nah, they just haven't found the right AMC vet yet. ;)

For a second there, I thought you were reporting that they were cast in these roles and was about to offer Y&R viewers my condolences.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's who Maria casts, but i'm telling you if they hadn't gotten Kristen Alderson at GH, she would have been cast as Summer i bet. (not that's a bad thing)

Funny you should say that, I was actually thinking at one point that the guy who played Tad's son on AMC (Finn Wittrock?) would have been a good pick for the new Scotty. or even Darin Brooks who played Max on DOOL.

I actually have a few other actors that come to mind that i could see playing Scotty, but I think i should just leave that in the fan fiction section in my brain, where Y&R isn't messed up like it is now.

I have no problem judging the acting of child models posing as actors.

KA is not from AMC so I doubt it.
