YES! That would be perfect. I'm sad that never happened on AMC, Erica and Sydney. This is so exciting because a big splashy primetime show is just where she belongs, if anyone can sell this, it's her. I'm watching her right now as a matter of fact, she and Barbara are trading barbs on classic AMC.

Maybe they'll let her wear fur in California:

Yes, although his Season 7 was one of the best this show has ever done (and I still think that Season 3 was brilliant, if not more so than Season 1). So, he can deliver (relatively) if he puts his mind to it.

The problem is, he is lazy and he prefers to rest on the reputation of the show instead of do actual work.

So, let's hope this is good and that it stays good!

Grant Show! The soap stars keep on coming!

I really hope this show happens, not only for Lucci and Show, but for those of us who are starved for some glamour in prime time television.

This show would have been perfect for Joan Collins 15 years ago, the very same age Susan Lucci is at now, she'd be just a touch too old to be a lead...I can't believe I just typed "Joan could be too old"...but it's true.

That said, Joan would make an excellent, excellent, recurring character. Not even as one of the rich people, but as one of the maids. Perhaps a maid who made good and landed someone rich? A kindly neighbour? There are a lot of options and I hope she is getting her agent on it.

I'd love to see them go against type and have Joan as a maid. That could be hilarious. I just hope this show is good. You never know with Marc Cherry. I stopped watching Desperate Housewives once Nicollette Sheridan was written off. It had gotten so bad and she was my main reason for watching. From what I've heard the show only got worse. This is the perfect premise to start off good and tank really bad. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I think Joan herself would love to go against type. She loves glam but she also likes to play with her image and playing a prim British maid would be amazing.

I, like you, stopped watching Desperate Housewives once Nicollette Sheridan was killed off as she was the only thing keeping me around as a viewer as the show had really degenerated. This show has lots of potential, I hope ABC keeps a tight leash on Cherry because it's clear he needs one.

    • I remember this being in the soap press at the time, they were going to be focused on rebuilding the Bauers, Reardons and Spauldings..and we saw they kind of just created a new Reardon (Chelsea when Nola was always supposed to be the youngest) a new Bauer with an offshoot of the main family,(Johnny) so I am sure they were going to do the same with Alan. New writers may have changed all that..(Long later brought  back Amanda for the Christmas episodes...leading into Alex/Phillip dethroning Alan.) I thought Poser should play an different character then Amanda...maybe an adopted daughter. We know Alan had a woman who he lived with in San Rios, they could have had her die and to pay her back for saving his life he adopts her daughter and trains her in all the ways to be a Spaulding. He pays a debt and he has a secret weapon to unleash on the family when he needed to so he keeps in his back pocket.

date: Tuesday, May 20 | Ron Carlivati, Cheryl L. Davis | Shelley Curtis Pack up your crap, Derek. And take that hideous chair with you, but don't throw out the food! We know you have a particular habit of doing that. Anita being nervous about Tracey's arrival is cute, and I love that Vernon joined her. I'm just hoping Sharon will join them soon. Tomas and Eva keep getting ... teased! I appreciate him filling her in on what happened with Dana and Katherine. Dana, what in the world are you working at?! If I saw you with your evil smiles in my hospital room as I woke up, I'd be questioning what nightmare I was existing within. I appreciate the continued evolution of Tomas' backstory and where he's come from. It sounds familiar to what I've heard from others, so it's nice that true history can be nodded to. Derek, there is no way in Hell Jacob and/or Naomi want your stank-gross behind crashing on their couch. Katherine better be careful; she keeps intercepting Dana at all of these places, and if she is not careful, she may become the primary target of her plans. Dante Greene? Is he the Barry Gordy Jnr of the story? I appreciate that Tracy has some genuine feelings towards Anita and their past history. But I appreciate that she is at least open-minded to reuniting with Anita on a personal basis; it'll be interesting to see how Sharon reacts when she arrives (I am guessing). Not the wig washing. Dana's personalities and wigs must be an ongoing gag. But good on Eva for calling her out about being falsely accused of running Laura off of the road. I've said it once, and I will say it again: Katherine should be a detective, because her instincts are sharper than sharp. Notes: Can we stop having the male actors on this show sitting on tables? It's such a pet peeve of mine. Like, chairs exist for your backside to sit on, not tables where we EAT! The top they have Tamara Tunie (Anita) in would annoy the frick out of me if that flower kept hitting me in my chin. I'd be pulling that crap off immediately.
    • Willow in red & I can just imagine a letter A emblazoned on it.
    • And you know I make it very clear what works and doesn’t work for me

    • Just certain storylines. It’s definitely worth it to get caught up. He absolutely still needs to be recast.
    • Great casting for Tracy. I already love her.
    • I can't believe the gall of Leslie, but I love it! Makes great TV.  I hope they move on from this Ashley/Derek story about having difficult adjusting to living together. I get it. It's a thing. However, the way it's being written is boring. It should have been written for comedy getting on each others nerves. Maybe it would have lightened both characters and made them people to root for.  Okay. What happened to Tomas? He's improved so much this week! He is still a little dry sometimes, but I stick with him for now. I enjoy hearing his backstory and bonding with Eva.  Then, of course, Eva just rocks everything.
    • hard to believe that laura’s been in the hospital for what? — three months — and no one — not shanice, not mona — has filled her in about what happened at the anniversary party! does she not have any idea what leslie’s done.?
    • The actor playing Tomas is at his best opposite Eva. Ambyr will definitely pull the talent out. I still want him recast.
    • Yowzers! I'm only on episode 17 right now - LOL - you paint a dreadful picture of this show. Just popped into this thread page and I gotta wonder... is all of it bad or just certain storylines?
