Maxie was unintentionally hilarious today. First, when her outburst led to breakdown and Mac had to pick her up and take her out of the church, then at the hospital, Maxie with a serious face and tone: "My name is Maxie Jones, and I'm a killer."

That killer line I think was my favorite moment of GH in years. Now I feel like I am getting some melo served with my drama at long last.

Can anyone do me a favor and tell me who's in the opening today? TIA!

It reads to me like it was his idea, that he decided the material which was there warranted a DID story.

Thats not a big surprise. People were calling it before his material even aired

All he said was that the seeds had been there for a long time, because of Kate and Connie. I never got a big feeling from the material, before his arrival, that this was supposed to be two people. Kate was supposed to be running from her past - now it's more like she just can't even remember most of this.

to be able to pit two guys, arguably the two most infamous characters in daytime television, Sonny Corinthos against Todd Manning...I mean, who could resist that?

Someone who knows the actors or the characters. Benard was bored, Howarth was doing his usual disconnected shouting, and the scenes were wretched. This whole titans clashing mindset only works if it hasn't been done a million times and if the acting and writing are there.

She was dissapearing for long stretches, hiding behind "work" and they were building up with her having some big secret. When it was revealed that that secret was that she was seeing a shrink, people thought that was so lame and not worth all that teasing and build up. Now her seeing a shrink makes alot more sense in hindsight, knowing just how crazy she really is and how she's been trying to hide how unstable she is by putting up this false strong front. The alternate personality makes sense given her history (yeah and I think even going back to MW's time in the role). The actress has been the biggest problem of the story, but I dont see anything wrong with its writing so far

I think the writing is the same as when RC wrote for the story at OLTL. A "comedy" character who then freaks out when a hot guy tries to have sex with her.

It just doesn't seem like something which was built up over time. I feel like RC came in, saw that she was a poorly received recast for a character who lost purpose a long time ago, and he went the Tess route for some cheap chuckles and teases.

I cant tell you as I wasnt watching the last few months but I do know that Kate ws supposed to have some secret and Ive read on other boards (including this one), people speculating that she might have an alternate personality. I remember the dissapointment with the shrink reveal and as stated, I think that holds alot more validity in hindsight, given what we know now

I also think she has a softness to her that makes the character a little easier to take, even if the writing is a pile of sh!t.

This is exactly why I love JL's Maxie. KS's Maxie was never remotely likeable IMO, just came across as a nasty skank who made Carly look less trashy

The most speculation I saw was people thinking she'd hidden Sonny's child away. I probably missed the rest. Either way I don't think the story was organic.
