I'm not sure there was anything to flash back to when KS was there, other than Maxie talking about how terrible Felicia was as a mother.

I say they should just use the old flashbacks of when Robyn Richards was in the role.

It always seems a bit tacky to me because she was a good mother for years. Then they had her go to take care of her grandmother. Only to find out years later, in a retcon to make people pity Maxie, that she had actually abandoned her children to be with Frisco. The whole reason Frisco and Felicia broke up was because he didn't care about being around the kids.

Even without the frisco part shes still a dead beat mom.

She didnt come home until Georgie was killed. Sure it can be blamed on the writing, but everything can be. It doesnt change that that is part of the character.

That's true, but the Frisco rewrite was overkill and took away a lot of the potential of the rest of the story. It was also pointless, since Maxie has had no real story or purpose of her own since that time.

Seriously, Maxie has been one of the few people on GH with clear purpose and plots, going forward from this time. She played a huge centrel role in the TMK storyline, she was then paired in a very popular pairing with Spin, she had her issues with Lulu before the two eventually became friends (in one of the few bright spots of gh, actually), she played supporting roles in most mob stories (seeing sonny bloody after claudia was killed, etc), she was paired with Franco when he was brought on. she had her model story/almost affair with Johnny, then she was put back (where she belonged all along) inb the liz/lucky/nikolas story before being moved onto matt. Of all the characters on GH that are not Sonny or Jason, she has had more of a point and more story than most, even Carly or Sam.

The TMK story ended around the time they had the rewrites with Felicia. Since then she has mostly had prop duty with Spinelli, squawking about him long after the show killed their relationship. She throws a few one-liners at Jason, sneers at Liz, and has quasi-relationships with various men which are never developed (Matt, Johnny, Franco). One of the main reasons people cared about her seemed to be KS, not anything the character has done in years.
