I think... Miami but I may be mistaken

She felt a breeze of cold air from AC which she had totally forbidden and was not willing to continue if the AC is not turned off.

I remember in Europe in winter people were near collapse since she had ordered the air to be extremely warm and it was unbearable.

Diva.

This tour ended up being a big triumph for her - not just commercially, because her legacy and back catalogue alone ensures she can still draw crowds - but after her near death experience last year, she surprisingly has looked more healthier (even with a grueling worldwide touring schedule at the age of 65), and seems more appreciative of both her legacy (which she often ignored in the past) and of her fan support than ever. I’m glad I got to see her in NYC back in January.

Many may have come before and after her, but she is the Queen of Pop, and I’m grateful she’s still around when so many of her Pop peers are not or are totally irrelevant at this point.

I can’t imagine my life had I not grown up with her or followed her for so many years. I don’t say that about many celebrities, but I often feel like I experienced so much of life and the world through following her for so long, as weird as that sounds. When so many pop stars were trying to sell a highly manufactured image that was foisted upon them by the industry that they couldn’t live up to, Madonna told us it was OK to be who you really are and that, “Everybody is a star. Everyone is special in their own way” as the lyrics to ‘Spotlight’ say.

Anyway, this Rio show was such a massive undertaking. I’m happy it was a success and she’s ending this tour, which is supposed to celebrate her 40 years in the industry, on a very high note.

And she made history, too!

I do think she's looked and sounded a lot better recently. One of the last times I came in this thread there was some mortifying appearance I couldn't take my eyes off of, so it's nice to see her improved. She will always be exactly who she set out to be and you can't fake that these days, no matter how many try.

    • I got the impression Andre was opening up to Dani about his feelings, that's why I thought he was about to admit he was in love with her. Dani has no idea that what's good for her is right in front of her face. Tomorrow we might get a love scene set to an R&B slow jam.
    • No, he was pining for that walking sleeping pill Ashley, and then later texted Dani for a hookup when he felt lonely. He and Dani got into it a bit as she’s not ready to be seen openly with him still, and they both realized they were hung up on other people - Andre on Ashley (thought he never said her name) and especially Dani on Bill.  Of course neither learnt anything and then proceeded to have sex again.
    • I'm glad there's a pool set if only for the eye candy. I do think they need to be careful when filming. Today, the direction was off with Kai in the pool -- it looked like he was sitting in a wading pool, and it was clear there was no depth to the water. Also, as I mentioned before, the view from those large windows looks fake as hell.
    • From my notes: San Cristobal with an “a” is from ANOTHER WORLD. Mac, Carl, their fathers, Ian Rains & his father, and Paulina had history on that equatorial island. Paulina was visiting there researching her past & fell for both Ian & Jake McKinnon! San Cristobel with an “e” is from GUIDING LIGHT and is the island kingdom where Prince Richard & Prince Edmund were from. Others with history there were Reva when she was Princess Katherine, Jonathan, Olivia, etc.
    • Schenkel was indeed a disaster.     During 1985, the following characters exited the show: Brian Bancroft, Sandy Cory, Blaine Ewing Cory, Jamie Frame, the first Peter Love, Alice Matthews Frame, Ben McKinnon, Vince McKinnon, Mark Singleton, Perry Hutchins, Grant Todd, and Tony the Tuna.   The following characters were introduced and quickly disappeared Chris Chapin, Neal Cory, Dee Evans, Daniel Gabriel, Michaud Christophe, Edward Gerard, Daphne Grimaldi, Zane Lindquist, and Brittany Peterson.   The only successful characters Schenkel introduced were Bridget Connell, Vicky Hudson, and Jake McKinnon.   Schenkel recasted the popular Sally Frame with Taylor Miller when Mary Page Keller left AW.  Also, he recasted Peter Love twice in 1985 with Christopher Holder and Marcus Smythe.   Schenkel brought back Carl Hutchins for the Egyptian/Arizona treasure story with the poisonous dust.
    • Was Andre about to use the L word with Dani?
    • Honestly, she should have went splat on the bottom since it looks only 4 feet or less.  I stopped watching by that time, but since they were in L.A. I could believe it.
    • My mistake. San Cristobal. I've seen it as Alamainia, Alamainland, and my personal favorite, Ubilam ("Malibu" spelled backwards). I was sticking to non-U.S. locations, but I suppose Aremid could have been Canadian. Ah, yes. Haiti?
    • You're very, very welcome! Nice seeing things appreciated.
    • No, not just you. And I think I remember that set; honestly, a lot of the L.A. sets stand out more in my head, and their stellar outdoor scenes.
