ITA that they are not comparable. TNT promotes shows well so any show is bound to do better and more people probably watch TNT since it's not targeting a limited demographic.

Nick does not do a good job promoting shows with the exception of any incarnation of Degrassi.

Considering how generic it is the ratings are probably decent. Also, they previewed the show the entire week before the actual premiere date which was on the 18th so the cumulative ratings for that preview week might be much better.

They may be able to build an audience since it's on nightly but I don't think they're going to do that well unless the show improves.

Why bother...once was enough...I accidently caught the last 20 min or so of it the other night while channel surfing and thought it was gawd awful. It was like Passion meets Sunset Beach meets MTV produced sh it.

I'm not even going to bother either. They are trying to get people to watch it by airing it after Degrassi reruns. But I only brought it up because there was a discussion about whether it was going to air on Teen Nick at all. The only show I am looking forward to on Teen Nick (aside from Degrassi) is Slide (which is Aussie's answer to Skins UK.)

The problem isn't as much the place as it is the show itself. It's written as if someone took a very basic soap writing class and this was the first class assignment.

I've seen it referred to as a soap version of A Star is Born which might be a workable formula but if the leads are supposed to be major musical talents then that ought to be visible. As I said previously, the music should be catchy at least. Eddie's first song should be something that sticks with you for at least awhile after he performed it. I watched Rags and I can recite some of the lyrics of at least three of the songs and I saw this after and I can't even remember one note of his song.

Nickelodeon has a number of music based shows so someone associated with that soap should have taken the time out to watch a few of the shoes and get a clue about performances. They simply have no clue about who their audience is supposed to be and it's evident. There's no problem in trying to reach viewers at both ends of the age spectrum but the characters shoud come across as representative of their age groups for the most part. And there needs to be some spark of energy coming from someone.

In my area, the show is on the schedule for three Nick channels. Nick at Nite only applies to a certain time frame so I don't know why they even bothered including this show on the Nick at Nite page instead of placing it with the other Nick shows aimed at teens. It's being shown on Teen Nick and they would probably be better off targeting teens.
