OLTL: Fans to Protest GMA & View Tributes

I thought AMC/OLTL had at least a couple dozen people protesting. I do agree with the sentiment that other shows have been cancelled before and it was just as hurtful to fans of those shows as it is to those who are upset about what ABC did. Talk to a P&G fan about what they feel about The Talk and/or Let's Make A Deal, it is eerily similar to the comments about the replacement shows on ABC.

No one stopped those fans from protesting though. Shame on them for not doing so more than begruding these people. I don't understand why they would protest and good natured tribute I have to say. I could sooner understand them protesting the Chew and Revolution. Hell, I wouldn't blame these people for keying Frons' car and urinating on his shoe, but what did Erika Slezak do wrong?

I'm calling it now. Somebody will show up outside GMA with an "Occupy the Soaps" sign and somebody is going to get pepper sprayed. For their sake I hope that the weed at this protest is at least as good as it was in Zucotti Park when I was there.

I actually doubt it, as Carl said it'll probably amount to 8 people or something and just kinda look like a joke.

Maybe they will think it is an homage to the episode in which Roxanne and others crashed David's interview. For some reason, that concept amuses me more than it should.

ETA: Erika obviously did nothing wrong, so I don't think anyone would be protesting her.

Well, I heard from my very, very reliable friend, LaPrecious Alizé, that her cousin's hairstylist, Quamell told her that one of his clients is neighbors with one of the people at the protest, and someone is going to break into the ABC building and streak during the View taping with the letters SOS painted on his body.

Dead at LaPrecious... you always make me laugh!

That is sad. I won't mind watching the tributes and hope that they are able to shut down any out there form of protest should something pop off. It really should be a fun celebration of what the soaps have meant to many for the past 40+ years.

But one of them will have an Occupy sign and one of them is going to get pepper sprayed. LOL!

If these protests are true, my heart breaks for the cast and crew of OLTL. I do think something needs to be done and get these shows back on the air in some form or fashion.
