Administrator Toups Posted August 17, 2012 Author Administrator Share Posted August 17, 2012 GH: - Anna Theresa Cascio first listed as Breakdown Writer on August 17 I don't remember a day when there was this many changes. LOL But it looks like the GH and DAYS teams are now complete. Next up, Y&R. Make your moves JFP/JG!
Members Jonathan
Lorraine Broderick took a long hiatus from writing and is now bouncing round from show to show. I guess she has those bills to pay fom her daughter's wedding.
Members Graham
Not a bad team at DAYS with one notable exception.
Administrator Toups Posted August 21, 2012 Author Administrator Share Posted August 21, 2012 What's this about her daughter's wedding? Who?
Members Khan
Lorraine Broderick's daughter got hitched right around the time she was promoted to HW at AMC and the show got the axe. She mentioned it in her last interview with SOD.
Members dragonflies
Daytime Confidential is saying that Sarah Smith and Maria Kanelos are no longer writing for Y&R
Members Y&RWorldTurner
It makes sense that Smith is gone, wasn't she also Maria's writer's assistant? Most new HW's will want an assistant of their own and someone they can trust. What I find strange is no update on Sheffer's employment. He needs to go, like yesterday. It would be terrible if Griffith kept him on as Co-HW, especially with JFP's twisted vision already in the mix.
Members wingwalker
DC also said that Sheffer's contract expires in November. Not sure if it was Jamey Giddens, or who, that said Sheffer only writes long story and that since Josh Griffith likes to work alone, Sheffer would likely go once his contract is up. Members Y&RWorldTurner
If that's the case, I assume Griffith will demote him and keep him as a breakdown writer, and then get rid of him entirely when his contract is up in November. Members LondonScribe
Next month's update should be quite stacked. Whilst not completely gutted, I expect the fully realised team under Josh Griffith to look a fair bit different to what we have now. Though, I imagine a few may be retained. Administrator Toups Posted August 22, 2012 Author Administrator Share Posted August 22, 2012 Thanks. Yeah, she was Maria's assistant. I can see Josh moving Hogan to breakdowns too. But Hogan's a very funny guy so he'll have 4 months to charm Josh in the Writers Room or conference calls when they're doing their layouts. Members Y&RWorldTurner
Brent Boyd, who wrote for Hollywood Heights, is joining Josh and Jill at Y&R. He basically confirmed it on Twitter. http://twitter.com/a...882709176664064
Members DRW50
If he thinks Y&R is an old soap he must not have heard of GL...
Members Khan
Frankly, I think his (Brent Boyd's) comment reeks of disdain, which is unfortunate. Would it kill these sons-of-bitches to hire a writer (or producer, or director) who actually loves the genre?
