All: Favorite Scenes of 2011

With 2011 coming to a close, what are some of your favorite scenes from the last year?

For me, it is this little Kate/Sami scene during the awful rafe 2 storyline. LK & AS just play off each other so well, and it showed how far the two have come with eachother, yet didnt make them best friend.

For sheer hilarity as only Days can provide, I offer the scene where Sami puts on the cameo to get Fake Rafe to confess, ends up channeling Fay, falls down the stairs, Hope pronounces her dead and Taylor walks in and amidst ALL of the drama with her mother, her only concern is why "Sami was lying on the floor wearing my mother's cameo!"

As for a legitimate scene, as I try to remember things from earlier in the year, I will offer a scene from last month. Days has been delivering a lot of great scenes lately, but the scene of Jack and Marlena discussing his captivity in Afghanistan, his relationship with Harper and ultimately breaking down in her arms was beautifully, beautifully acted.

I loved the last, very ugly, scene between JR and Dixie, where he unloaded on her for years of broken promises and lies, and blamed her for destroying his entire life. It was beautifully acted by Jacob Young and Cady McClain. While there was a great deal of justifiable criticism for how Dixie's last return was handled, that type of scene was a real showcase for the multi-layered acting and pure emotion she brings, and brings out in others. I really hope Jacob and Cady will work together again.

Marty and Kelly in John's apartment and Marty and Natalie on the roof of the Angel Square Motel. LMAO.

As brief as they were I also liked the scenes where Stuart returned from the dead, especially the very brief reunion between Stuart and Marian.

That Kate/Sami scene is pretty good. I know a lot of people hate AS's acting but that's not too bad.

Y&R

Cane's death and the week leading up to it. The writing, pacing and production was so good, you could be forgiven for thinking Y&R's writing/producing staff were competent. Had it been Cane's real death (as originally intended), it would've been epic. But of course, Sony had to step in and appease the Lane psychos, resulting in yet another ridiculous resurrection storyline, and eventually the whole Genevieve debacle.

B&B

The scene in the hospital when Katie told Bill she was the best thing that ever happened to him, prompting to finally break it off with Steffy.

Runner-up: The birth of Amber's baby and the ensuing Amber/Bill/Liam/Tawny confrontation.
