Soap Opera Digest can exclusively confirm that Bryan R. Dattilo is returning to the role of Lucas Horton. The actor, who first appeared in Salem in 1993, was last seen in June, 2010 for Alice's memorial, will be back on-screen in late February, 2012. Co-Executive Producer Greg Meng says, "We are very excited Bryan Dattilo, who has been greatly missed on the show, is back in Salem. The reset of DAYS is about bringing core families back together, rekindling old romances, and sparking new ones."

Very happy. He's not a great actor, but he's needed for Will's storyline. Plus, I'd rather see Lucas & Sami reuniting then have Sami with EJ or Rafe.

I wonder if they will phase Rafe out - between Austin, EJ, and Lucas, that's a lot of men for Sami to have baggage with already.

They just need to bring back Brandon and Sami will have all her old love interests (Minus Franco).

I actually kind of like Rafe - he's that typical duh-faced leading man who isn't a vile a$$hole. I just don't really care about Rafe/Sami or their supposed family.

I loved Lucas and Sami. This may get me to tune in again. That and the Will storyline.

They have to be the most awful couple in daytime history. I cant stand Lucas with Sami. Lucas is just fugly ugly.....

I don't mind Rafe away from Sami. That pairing might be good for Sami but it has done nothing for his character. I do like that they are at least bringing back a Horton.
