B&B Rumors - Cast Changes Coming!

They'd probably bring Maggie back to try and make Nick happen. I can see her being flung into the Jackie M clan

Poor Barbara. I didn't think it could get any worse than her GL run.

TBH I don't care who comes and goes from this show -- is and always has been The Susan Flannery Show. If she ever retires they are so so so f***ed.

I am a little burned out by soaps' gabillionth anniversary this-and-that. B&B is the last soap that needs veteran returns to shore it up, frankly -- it has a strong core of characters (and original portrayers -- stand up Susan Flannery, Ronn Moss, Katherine Kelly Lang and John McCook) already on the show driving major story. The original Bill Spencer and Caroline may not be around anymore, but their presence in the form of DD's Bill and Spencer Publications is still being felt. As are the reconstituted Logans.

I haven't given Jessica and Dylan a passing thought since, like, 1995 -- it's not like they've been missed. Love Barbara Crampton but Maggie hasn't either. Sheila is truly overplayed and, anyway, Brad Bell's sister in law killed her off on Y&R. The only people I really want back are James Warwick and Sally Spectra (RIP, Darlene). I also like the younger set with Steffy, Liam, Rick, etc., and wish that stalwarts Thorne and Felicia would be given some meaningful story.

B&B should stop wishing it was Days for a hot minute and just do a cute episode featuring the core four like they did for the 20th anniversary -- and leave it at that.

LML did actually. MAB just made it 10 times more complicated with the Sarah/Daisy/Ryder BS.

I agree with you, except for the part about the Logans - I loathe what Brad Bell did to them, especially Beth and Donna and Storm (who could have had story for years but some desperate Emmy bait about the nobility of suicide took precedence).

I don't think they need return characters, although part of that is down to that IMO B&B never really has had any strong, breakout characters over the years. The closest would be Taylor, who was, even if I wasn't a fan, iconic for many viewers, and a big "face" of B&B for much of the 90's. Other than that, most new characters have been middling or only good for a year or two of story, and many were criminally undeveloped.

The one I would want to see back - Deacon - is clearly never returning. Other than that I'd just like to see Felicia and Kristen again.

I just don't understand if Brad Bell wants past favorites back USE Felicia, Thorne and Kristen! Possibly Macy, I guess. Use Clarke. Bring back CJ. James. Deacon.

And why was Amber brought back again? LOL. Bell can't ever write for any character not named Stephanie, Brooke, or Ridge. It used to be Taylor but he seems burnt out on her. And it's so obvious he's desperately trying to keep Nick viable, but I don't think he's a viable character in the least anymore.

Jessica? Dylan? Maggie? LMAO. I can't see that at all.

ITA with you re: the Logans. Love Heather Tom as Feisty Katie but Jennifer Gareis is eminently superfluous now that she's not playing the gold-digging bimbo after Eric's money (SO much more fun to watch). William deVry had AMAZING potential as Storm -- chemistry with everybody, coupled with no genetic ties to the Forresters. I secretly hoped for a Storm-Felicia match-up -- his passionate temper matched by her ballsiness. I liked Storm so much that I actually stopped watching B&B for a while after the suicide, so incensed was I by the story which damn near ruined Katie for me, too.

RR was terribly miscast as Beth -- in my head, I had Judith McConnell as Beth and I guess my attachment to B&B was such that I couldn't let go of that. Beth's death was not needed and totally gratuitous, though. She should have just been written off back to Paris.

I would love to see Deacon back. This man would really drive story on B&B. Daytime Confidential's most recent podcast had the genius idea (I know people don't like DC but credit where credit is due) of having Deacon try and seduce Steffy in order to "expose" her and thereby help out Hope. I would suggest that he instead spies Steffy with Bill in flagrante and goes the blackmail route. With Amber, Bridget and Jackie all on the scene, not to speak of a resentful Brooke, Deacon has plenty to chew on. Rick also despises him -- I wouldn't mind seeing a SK-JY rivalry...

We all wishful-HW some of the soaps we like -- I tend to do that with B&B. laugh.png Just because SL potential is so often wasted. Like, another Spectra Steals FC Designs for the Billionth Time story?

Yeah I think we can chalk this all up to some false fan writing. Almost like those reports of Kimberly returning in the fall
