When Alex first arrived, she was a FAB agent, or whatever they were called, and was respectable. She didn't go nuts until about a year, when she realized Bo was going to dump her for Cassie.

They should say Bulge was their father. Burke Moses was great, and you know RC would love to have a reason to have people saying "Bulge."

I wish there was a way to get 91-93 Alex back. She was just delicious. The lapse into ha ha time started around 1994 but she was still decent. Things got really bad after Carlo came back and they've been bad since.

Oh Alex was SO much fun, she was my next favorite character after Dorian/Viki during the DID era. She was a real trip. Was it you who said she was going to be let go during a great cleansing when Rauch left and Gottlieb joined but Gottlieb saw untapped potential in the character and kept her?

She was supposed to be fired after the crazy Alex story but Gottlieb changed her mind and kept Tonja. I'm not sure if Rauch or Gottlieb made her crazy.

For me Alex's peak was the Carlo/Mortimer stuff. I love all that. I liked her best when she had an edge. Even that insane stuff where she drugged poor Herb and took dirty photos with him.

That was a very broad era, for sure. When I watch clips I generally enjoy everyone, even if I think Sloan is a great big bore and led to great decimation of Viki's character.

See, I liked Sloan. Diff'rent Strokes, I guess. I thought Alex and Asa and Carlo's return/Poseidon, she was great during all that but had kind of run her course by the time she left. Her returns have been sort of duds. We'll see about this next one.

Unless RC gets the bright idea to reveal Alex as Tina's half-sister and Irene's partner-in-crime, I don't think I'll care.

The whole idea of Sloan - Viki now needs to see her real passions because Clint had repressed her - bothered me. So did the nightmares where she associated Sloan with being raped by her father. I feel like that was the start of making Viki so weak.

Thinnes was OK, but he was a little too detached for me. I mostly liked his scenes with Andrew.

Jessica has been ruined.

I think she was ruined when they brought Tess back in 2008 for a desperate stunt and BW pretty much killed the show for months, ending in a stillbirth which was treated as partial comic relief. The character has been dead for a long time - it just took a while to notice the stench.
