September 29, 201114 yr Member Update: SOD now says they're in contract negotiation. http://www.soapopera...tt-leaving-days Finally! The rapist is outta here! Edited September 29, 201114 yr by Toups
September 29, 201114 yr Member It certainly is bad timing, although I mostly feel for Nicole. I hope they will still know what to do with her.
September 29, 201114 yr Member Wow I didnt see this one coming. I wonder if they will recast the role or kill EJ off???
September 29, 201114 yr Member Good job DAYS. You gained has-beens Drake Hogestyn and Patrick Muldoon and lost James Scott. You couldn't even get through the re-launch week without any bad news. Two steps forward; fourty steps back.

Hopefully she gets a decent storyline away from him. Ari is popular As for James Scott I am not surprised as he has not seemed happy for a long time. Y&R will probably hire him

But somehow he has to be an adversary to victor and adam the other 2 gems Edited September 29, 201114 yr by JaneAusten
September 29, 201114 yr Member This is surprising news, but hardly shocking. He HAS stated in past interviews that he would probably be leaving sooner rather than later and moving back across the pond. He's probably using the inability to come to a contract agreement as an excuse. EJ is an integral part of the show right now though, so one wonders if they will kill him off and start a murder mystery, or if they will recast. Personally, the death of DiMera offspring is getting old, so I hope they get a new actor in the role. Edited September 29, 201114 yr by Shawn
September 29, 201114 yr Member I think they should just have him leave town. I don't know if fans would have cared about EJ if Scott weren't in the role - the writing for the character has been a huge mess all along.

I don't know if fans would have cared about EJ if Scott weren't in the role - the writing for the character has been a huge mess all along. I think its a combination of bad writing and sheer overexposure. It was becoming the EJ show much like GH is the Sonny hour. They can only darken/redeem/rinse and repeat a character so much before it becomes ridiculous.

I actually like JS even though I think hes not a great actor hes very charismatic and charming. But I think the character needs a break to be honest. ITs became too much the EJ show even moreso than Sami. They could honestly kill him off in a who dun it and bring him back at some point later. Edited September 29, 201114 yr by JaneAusten
