If Victor had all of Todd's memories and feelings and such, why didn't Irene just ask him where the chip was instead of frying RHTodd's brain for EIGHT YEARS?

What I question is if the show even feels he needs a redemption. Do they feel that the only "bad" thing Clint did was being mean to Rex, and that now that he had some heart problems and has accepted Rex, it's all gone? The story with Matthew and Nora was stupid, and destructive, but it still happened, and other than those scenes where Clint confessed to the murder (which seems irrelevant at this point since Matthew is long gone), it's all been washed under the rug.

I mean, should we really feel - why is Cord being so mean to Rex, isn't it nice that Clint is defending his son?

I have said this way too many times, and I apologize for that, but you don't HAVE to have everyone be a happy family. Breaking a family apart is better than this awful half-death. If they want to have Clint become close to Rex, or Clint (and Viki) enable Jessica as she runs a bulldozer through Llanview, that's fine, but there's no reason why they have to keep people like Cord, or Natalie, or offcamera Kevin and Joey in the family. I would much prefer that the ending of the show be these people officially going their separate ways. At this point the family that Clint and Viki built has been so destroyed and I don't believe the people involved would continue to keep up the pretense. It takes enough for me to believe Viki would give Clint the time of day after what he did to Nora and Matthew and Shane.

JMO, the warmth JVD infuses into the character even when he's acting like an SOB, has saved him for being totally irredeemable. I see his heart even when the writing says otherwise.

I thought RC was on the right with Viki asking what happened to the man I married twice and used to know... is he even in there anymore. Clint needed a long look in the mirror moment and a better job done repairing the damage he caused. It should have started with Matthew, I agree.

However, another wasted opportunity was for Clint to take having Gigi's heart more seriously... and reach out to lost, neglected and tortured Shane. I wanted Clint (the good father to Kevin & Joey persona) resurrected via Shane which would make up for some of his awful influence on a sadly comatose Matthew.

As for happy families? RC seems intent on writing the Lord/Mannings not as dark, twisted souls battling past demons but more like the bickering Quartermaines. Jessica and Natalie's fight at least tread on the real issues between them versus Viki vs Tina amounted to mainly the same old comedic snipes.

The one meaty scene was Viki vs Irene battling over which one of them Victor Sr exploited worse. More of Victor Sr's ugly legacy please and less campy silliness.

I wonder if we're supposed to see the Clint who loved Kevin and Joey as weak or a loser, so he can't care about Shane that much, since Shane is also weak. Rex is supposed to be our hero, so Clint can't care about other sons.

and Jess with her bruised eye

Why are they making Tina's story with Tess ALL about the Mendorran jewels? She let herself be blackmailed bc Tess threatened to have Sarah killed!

Did they retcon it? She said Tess threatened her and David Vickers

Irene: Blaming your mommy for all your problems? That's so cliche

Tess did do that but that wasnt all she did. I wish they would have Tina just admit the Sarah angle and I dont get why the show is ignoring that. Tina keeps saying you dont know the whole story, so maybe she's alluding to that

Cord just said what she did almost got Sarah killed. Problem is I have no idea what he's referring to. Once story arcs have played out, they go right out of my head.

I think we're supposed to see that Rex lost his heart when he lost Gigi. Gigi is the real heroine who died protecting her child. Without her "good" influence Rex can't be a good father or man. Even I am surprised RC is painting Rex neglecting so much the troubled son who recently tried to kill himself. We know Shane is in trouble, our hearts and sympathy are with Shane over Jack so Rex not caring about Shane enough paints Rex as heartless.

Im 100% sure he's talking about Sarah getting abducted and placed on a raft over the waterfall. He got mad at Tina about that back in 2008

After that last scene, I bet Clint and Viki think Tess is back

Gotta love Jess owning her part in the battle and the juxtaposition with Viki/Tina

and hate that Viki is still a hater when it comes to Tina. What a hypocrite. I wish Jess would call her out on it

Go Bo, throw Starr's azz in jail

David Vickers.....I love that bitch wub.png
