That was Lenore's wedding to Walter Curtin. I saw that a while back, don't remember where I have it though. I do remember enjoying it, especially when Rachel and Alice first meet Steve.

Cliff had one sister. Linda/Peggy were the same character. When Melissa Leo started, she talked briefly about how she was going by her middle name now because Peggy sounded so "old" to her.

Oh Thanks but did they also change persoanlities I dont remember Peggy being so Linda if u follow me

I thought Victoria Wyndham was very capable of playing a bitch - you can see it in a lot of her dealings with Iris, Janice, etc. She just added more layers. I wish I could compare her to Robin but I've only seen one episode with Robin as Rachel.

I think giving her a dual role was bizarre, because she's a very stylized actress. It just ended up making Rachel seem dull and Justin seem nuts.

VW Was Rachel #3. Margie Impert played Rachel #2 From Nov 1971-Feb 1972. Then strasser came back for six months & VW took over in August 1972

Yeah, they totally changed personalities, lol. Peggy (Amy Steel) was a good girl, while Linda (Melissa Leo) was definitely not. I guess AMC figured the 4-year interval between the two actresses (1980-1984) was enough to explain the transformation.

Age wise that makes sense. Amy was Born May 1960 and Melissa September 1960

If you find it online, let me know. I'd love to see it at least one more time--it was definitely the best episode (well, two episodes) I've seen of a soap from the 50s or 60s, I think.

I loved Amy Sttel in the slasher spoof (that was shot here in Victoria, lol) April Fool's Day--I don't actually remember her in Friday the 13th 2, although I know among fans of the series, she's often listed as a favorite "final girl".

I would have to add Jaime Lyn Bauer as Laura Horton.JLB had created an iconic role as Lorie Brooks and there was none of that in the writing for Laura. At the same time, her Laura in no way resembled Susan Flannery or Rosemary Forsyth. JLB would have been more suited to Kate.

Also John Ingle as Mickey WTF??

All of the Paige's on One Life to Live. My personal opinion is Kimberlin Brown was only hired to stick it to Y&R. The rest was abomination history.

mary Beth Evans Was Originally cast but turned it down to do contract status at ATWT. I Think MBE was supposed to start filming like in a day or 3, So KB was a quick Find. KB actually left OLTL to return To Y&R and then we got Cady Huffman who was too sweet and then Alexandra Neil in like her third or fourth oLTL role and she was bad

I thought the last Paige was the only one that worked. Unfortunately the character just plain sucked and I hated how they kept trying to make her happen instead of just throwing in the towel

How awesome would it have been for DAYS to have "borrowed" the character of Lorie Brooks from Y&R? I'm just saying.

Please don't get me started on John Ingle in any role. He might be a fantastic person to know in real life, but he's simply incapable of playing any complex character.

In the "old days," soaps would have cut their losses long before Paige Recast #4 and dropped whatever plans they had for the character. It was clear, though, no one at the network was listening to what fans were saying.

Well, I won't go that far, lol, but he did cross my mind when someone mentioned Jed Allen as Edward in this thread. JI seems like a pussycat compared to David Lewis who had a certain strength, authority, and inherent threat that JI's Edward lacks.

I hate characters like Paige who ultimately waste time and canvas, and crowd history.
