It is not good for Audrey !

The Jessie / Phil / Diana / Peter quad is really good.

I didn’t realize Meg was absent for so long from the canvas. Don’t know when she will be back in 1972 but Elizabeth McRae must have left the show for a year.

1971 was quite the year for Audrey!

You may be wondering what happened with Sharon and Henry, as they were pretty sparse in these write-ups.  Unfortunately, the majority of the individual episode summaries for 1971 are MIA.  I was able to pull these write ups from character sequence sheets for Audrey, Jessie, Lucille, Jane and Meg/Brooke.

From what I can gather, Sharon had a very minor storyline that ran mid-June through early September.  DeWitt Lovejoy, played by John Ragin, is apparently a patient in the hospital and the only idea that I have of what this story involved is from a single line in an episode summary from 26 AUGUST:

"Sharon learns from Lovejoy that he hasn't heard from Hollywood, and she is disappointed, blames Henry."

I know Lovejoy is a patient as the scene takes place in his hospital room.  Now why Sharon blames Henry for Lovejoy not getting a call from "Hollywood" is anyone's guess.  I just wanted to fill in the gap, if anyone wondered where Sharon or Henry were.

If any one has any insight into Lovejoy and his quest to Hollywood, please share!

I posted this with actor John S. Ragin's acting profile to my page on FB. A former soap reporter responded  with a bit more info...

"it was a funny storyline! Sharon had visions of becoming a movie star through this connection. Ironically when he was released, he told Sharon that HENRY had star material because he looked like Abe Lincoln! Lovejoy exited and Sharon was left to say in disbelief, "Henry?!" George Wright then played the Pagliacci theme with gusto!
