SOAPnet has announced their plans for scheduling after the last episode of AMC airs on Sept. 23. The ABC prime-time soap BROTHERS & SISTERS joins the lineup. RYAN'S HOPE, which aired from 5-6 a.m., has been axed. Classic episodes of AMC, OLTL and GH will now air in the overnight (3 a.m. - 6 a.m.) timeslot.

As of Monday, Sept 26.

THE OC will air at 6 a.m. & 11 a.m.

ONE TREE HILL will air noon-3 p.m.

BEVERLY HILLS, 90210 will air at 3 p.m. & 4 p.m.

BROTHERS & SISTERS is added to the schedule at 5 p.m. & 6 p.m.

YOUNG AND RESTLESS will air at 7 p.m. 11 p.m. & 10 a.m.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES will air at 8 p.m., midnight & 7 a.m.

ONE LIFE TO LIVE will air at 9 p.m., 1 a.m. & 9 a.m.

GENERAL HOSPITAL will air at 10 p.m., 2 a.m. & 8 a.m.

Classic episodes of AMC, OLTL and GH will air at 3 a.m., 4 a.m. (M-F) and 5 a.m. (Mon-Thu & Sun)

The weekend preceding AMC's last week on television, SOAPnet will air the BEST OF AMC on Saturday, Sept 17 and Sunday, Sept 18 from 7 p.m. to midnight.

The OTH and BH90210 is so unnecessary. BUT I'm excited about Brothers and Sisters. One of my favorite shows.

SO HAPPY for the classic AMC/GH/OLTL episodes! Will definitely be watching or recording those. Wish Ryan's Hope wasn't leaving though. :(

So they're moving DAYs out of the 11pm slot. And taking away their 6 oclock slot. Inneresting.

Not really... they're just shifting it around a little bit to make up for the loss of AMC. It still gets three airings a day like the other soaps.

Didn't they once own the rights to air SISTERS? Gosh, I wish they had that on DVD...

That's one show I want on DVD so very much! I wish Soapnet would air it again

Oh no I'm saying it's interesting for me, because the 11 oclock slot is when I generally watch. I'll have to figure something else out now.

I'm looking for some 70s/80s stuff. I know we probably won't get that but I pray we at LEAST get mostly 90s.

I'm just shocked they are going to air classic episodes, I thought there was no chance in hell of that given that ABC seems to want nothing to do with soaps

Can't wait to see the Best Of AMC episodes they air on the 17th and 18th and the 3-5am block of classic episodes sounds really cool. I'll definitely record those

Ive been contemplating whether to get cable or not and if they actually do air CLASSICS, I just might

I'm sure someone will Youtube them LOL

That's what I'm counting on. Either that or ABC/SOAPnet streams them on their site for a limited time after they air on TV. It sucks that over the entire year and a half I had SOAPnet, the only old stuff they aired was two Christmas episodes of GH from the 90s.
