I'm happy for OLTL. However, for every great scene - Todd revealing himself - there's a stinker - Rex and Ghost Zhee Zhee. OLTL definitely has seen better days, but at the very lest, the show is entertaining, if nothing else, and I'm glad its not going away quietly. Hope the ratings momentum continues next week with people tuning in for the continuation of the two Todds story.

OLTL still can't get over the 2.0 mark. Surprised AMC stayed at 1.9. AMC and OLTL first cancelled yet GH has worse numbers...lol. B&B only soap to go up in HHs. Nice for Days to get a good number on Tuesday for Will and Sonny day.smile.png Although they were on Wednesday too which wasnt a high day for the show.

Wow what is drawing people into OLTL? I doubt it's a heatwave or other soaps would be having the same or similar type ratings. I think it def. is the Two Todd's storyline

Yup, it's the two Todd story. Once that is over though I see OLTL going down.

WOWSA go OLTL GO OLTL. The show is simply on fire and cannot be beat right now. Lets just say isn't it awesome OLTL is going out with a huge bang/vengence. This soap is going through the roof right now. Its just HOTTER THEN HOT RIGHT NOW.

You sound like a cheerleader....lol

Let's not over exaggerate. lol

Yeah...lol...it still only has a 1.9 HH number.

He didn't for ATWT. tongue.png

Exactly!

Cause Paul Ryan was meh, and RHTodd isn't tongue.png

Roger Howarth made Paul Ryan meh....Paul wasnt meh before RH took over.

It's the story more than anything. The ratings will go down to the usual 2.3-2.4 million once the story is over.

I agree

I honestly never imagined in a million years this story would draw viewers in ohmy.png

It may be drawing viewers but not HH numbers.

I am not a believer that an actor or their fanbase really does squat for a show. RH';s fanbase did nothing for him at ATWT nor have the fanbases for all those big names at Y&R done squat. I think the show has been building momentum for months, this story kicked in and the pace was decent and Todd is a popular character and both actors are well liked in the role. But if it was just an actors fanbase you wouldn't see 400 or 500K more viewers more like a couple of thousand at best. You can't convince me Vanessa Marcil is not as popular or Brenda and her return did nothing for GH.

We can presume JULY WAS like a sweeps month for OLTL. they are going to play this all the way through October. IMO I am so happy OLTL is going out with a vengence bang then a dying dog wimper like GL did. OLTL beating GH for 15 weeks is HUGE. Especially when GH is the vastly more expensive show and promoted show. OLTL did well before this Todd story as well as show had spikes during the bullying storyline. IMO OLTL should not be cancelled.

..Paul wasnt meh before RH took over.

Yes, he was. Young Damon Scheller and Andy Kavovit were the only good Paul Ryans. The two after were just okay, but blah. I agree that wasn't RH's role but he was better than Holyrod or whatever his name is.

Back to the ratings.

RH ruined the Paul character. There was no way that RH was better than Holyrod. Now back to ratings.

That's what I have been saying too. But I will say OLTL did hit 3 million twice last week and even beating B&B at least one day. So I would look at HH rating but actual veiwers number.

HH numbers havent gone up for soaps in years. They get a .1 jump but thats it. It more the total viewer numbers that change per week.

I actually posted this in another thread by mistake. I apologize for the confusion and double post.

Please pardon my rudeness, but I have a request to make regarding future ratings threads. Would it be possible to list the ratings for all network daytime shows, rather than limiting the ratings to just the soaps. My rationale for this change is that with only four soaps left on television come January 23, it just makes more "sense" to include all daytime network programs in the ratings. (Of course, separate lists for just the soaps would be fine as well. My request is not to replace the soap-only ratings lists, but rather add three additional lists--one for total viewers, one for household ratings, and one for women 18-49 ratings--that cover the full spectrum of network daytime television.)

If this request cannot be accomodated (because it's too much extra work or too inconvenient), I perfectly understand. In this case, however, would it be possible to direct me to a website that can provide me with this information?

Thank you for listening to my request. Any efforts to (1) accomodate this request or (2) direct me to another website that can assist me would be greatly appreciated.

I agree with you, Max. Toups said before that he has no interest in other daytime shows, so he wouldn't want to include Price is Right, Let's Make a Deal, The View, and The Chew, etc, but it's not that we're "interested" in those other shows, it's that we're interested to see how the remaining soaps compare in rating to those other shows. I hope he realizes that, and provides that info when AMC and OLTL depart. The soap ratings mean nothing unless we see them in context to the other shows in network daytime.
