Many fans preferred Alexa Havins Babe to Amanda Baker's one. It's as clear as day that if AH stayed on as Babe they never would have killed her off. The only reason they killed Babe off when AB was in the role was because Baker herself was dead weight and was unable to take over the role as successful as Havins did. The fact that they are asking Havins back instead of Baker says volumes.

I don't understand why you keep bringing Rylee up. They have never been a fan favorite pairing. It's also useless to deny that Babe is the most important pairing in JR's love life. He still talks about her and she has been dead for three years. She is the mother of his only son and she was his first wife. He was with her on and off for five years, that is more then half of the time Jacob Young has spent in the role, It's obvious she is significant.

If Babe would have, just for one episode, been held accountable for her actions...I would have felt so different about the character. But that couldn't even happen. She got everything she wanted, and then some.

Egan is gone. She is done with AMC. She doesn't want anything to do with them anymore. Let it go. How can you blame Alexa/Babe (who is likely only coming for a short time period) for Egan getting the hell out of dodge and separating herself from a cancelled soap?

That's not true either. She said that she didn't understand why viewers still hated her for the events that took place in 2004 (the interview was taken in 2006/2007) because she thought Babe was making strides in redeeming herself, which apart from a few stumbles (enabling JR) she was.

There was NO redemption shown for Babe. I think I can count on one hand how many times she (smugly) apologized to JR & Bianca for what she did to them so for Alexa Havins to say that fans hated Babe despite all the redemption the writers had shown Babe go through, is just silly and naive.

AMC and OLTL are experiencing their best ratings in months if not years, it's obviously brought in new life and viewers into the show which means that yes the cancellation news is newsworthy and noteworthy enough to cause an influx of viewers back into watching which is important to the show brand and home channel network. So yes in effect the cancellation result is making the show more popular in it's last months. If there was no interest in the cancellation news the ratings would still be dropping and would be reaching lower lows like they have been doing for the last six of so years.

The Casey Anthony murder trail was a very popular news story , I don't know how else to tell you that. That doesn't mean every body liked Casey Anthony but it means that people were VERY interested in her story and her case, it obviously drew in viewers and sky rocketed ratings and yes sorry to say DID ignite people's interests.

It's really not. JR and Babe were a couple when ratings in general were higher and were consistently ranked with the likes of Zendell which was AMC's most popular pairing since 2004. Babe and JR, Zach and Kendell were the only successful pairings of AMC in the 2000's and no other couple created during that time period rivaled their fanbases on AMC. Even in 2007 they still had a sizable amount of fans who were interested in their story and no JR pairing has ever matched Jabe's popularity, which makes sense as the show got less and less popular and declined in the ratings from 2008 onward. It makes sense that the fanbases would shrink along with the decline.

Alexa Havins was the best younger actress this show had since Eden Rigel. One of the reasons why AMC has performed so terribly is because of all the talent bleed they have lost to other shows and them being unable to keep strong actors on the show. Eden, Alexa, Giddish, Tanisha, Leven, were all incredibly strong actresses. Much stronger then the likes of Chrishell, Egan and Allen.

So then why did you say she couldn't act?

The show was well written, LB was writing, K&S weren't. You're still not making any sense, you're contradicting yourself completely
