Members Max
If I was a lifelong AMC fan, I'd be fuming right now. These folks were robbed of closure--and of a satisfying finale--in order to satisfy the demands of executives who never were certain in the first place if AMC would continue online. The way in which the "visionary" PP executives exploited the hopes and fears of AMC fans is beyond unforgiveable.
Members All My Shadows
If that's true, then I'm disgusted. And anyone who wants to say that I shouldn't be needs to step back and STFU.
Members marceline
I'd rather see it end like this then have PP half-ass it then drop it after a few months. I was pleased with the ending. The cliffhanger doesn't bother me the way it seems to be bothering some people. Of course this makes me think that PP's money problems might be even worse than the WSJ made it sound.
Members alexisfan07
Eh I'd say OLTL's chances just increased more. Now they'll get all of AMC's finances too.
Members dragonflies
soapsindepthabc Soaps In Depth ABC If these rumblings of Prospect Park not continuing #AMC are true, I go back to my original assessment of ending: Worst. Finale. Ever. Details: http://abc.soapsindepth.com/2011/11/prospect-park-puts-amc-on-hold.html
Members alexisfan07
It's just the fact that fans have been through the emotional ringer...it's not right
Members marceline
I understand the sentiment but for this soap watcher, "right" hasn't been a part of the equation for a very long time.
Members dragonflies
I never understood why PP wanted AMC actors to commit to 4 years yet were willing to let OLTL actors do one year commitments
Members dragonflies
Richard doesn't seem to think OLTL will happen online either: soapsindepthabc Soaps In Depth ABC @Sonny_Kate I think it has more to do with financing. At this point, they haven’t secured much. Which MAY not bode well for #OLTL either.

Members marceline
This is why I'm glad that most of the AMC actors decided to peace out. They already got burned once. Once bitten, twice...getting the hell out of here.

Members dragonflies
I agree. ABC does need their asses kicked for catering to PP and giving us the ending we got. I didn't completely hate it, but still, damn that sucks for AMC fans He never once said that, he was skeptical, as were many of us, that doesn't mean he wasn't a fan
Members JaneAusten
Yeah Richards livelihood depends on soaps. I don't think he never wanted the shows to move over. BUt I am bummed about AMC only because I liked the orignal idea for the ending they talked about I agree with you I am just kind of saddened about that original concept for the ending we never saw. Oh well
