Maybe replacing the Chew?

It would probably just stay in syndication. ABC seems to have no interest in game shows.

She's not a must have and the role is completely open to being recast and they could upgrade it most definitely.

Well they did upgrade from Gellar :b Yeah, I said it wink.png

Only Lucci is a must-have to be honest. It's not going to be AMC without her. Everybody else is second and third tier.

On GMA this morning, Cameron didn't appear to even be a question mark on remaining with AMC. He's on it.

I do think PP has to think about doing seasonal production because I don't forsee a lot of actors wanting to commit to year-long contracts in something that could possibly flop.

Congrats to him - I don't think he ever fit at OLTL in the first place. He seems best suited for some of the primetime stuff.

I just need to hear that Budig is officially out. Really. I NEED that.

Didn't she give an interview last month where she made it obvious she would rather eat glass than continue doing amc?

I'm sure she's so out but I understand that confirmation would be nice.

I don't even think its about PP. I think she was ready to leave AMC for her 5th or 6th time

Soaps are on their last legs now and actors are signing multi year contracts. Honestly I don't see this being much different

But soaps are already established in the tv format, this isn't. I agree with Angela though completely. I think SL is a must, especially if they even want to consider trying to get it on cable(which I think is a long shot)

I do agree about SL. No way will they ever get a cable deal without Lucci

Why is the cable deal a longshot. While I don't think its going to happen when they go online (networks dont just throw new shows on their networks at a whim) I could see it if the online shows get a decent response.

It was June 2001, so I think Agnes was long gone by then. My main focus in watching was on (smallest voice possible) the Laura heart transplant story, which was allll Jean.

LOL, yeah, I believe Agnes' name dropped from the credits in January of 2001 (though she already seemed to be doing less and less with P doing more, but who knows for certain). So you have no excuse ;)

I am not sure I understand the logic in people like WW and VI vehemently denying it. I don' t know if it was some sort of tactic to generate interest and buzz same as the Lucci rumor. If so I guess its sort of genius in a way but then it discounts all the "rumors" sites like DC have continued to promote that AMC is being sidelined and that PP is 100 percent focused on OLTL.

It does make them look kinda foolish, which always pleases me (DC I mean, not the actors). Of course maybe PP approached a bunch of them en masse just yesterday or a few days back, but I kinda doubt that.

Is the GMA piece online at all?

because it's a daytime drama, so everything is very dramatic.

Thank you for clearing that up Alicia ;)

I could do with a break from Kendall and then a recast if the online show lasts thatlong--though I'm by no means opposed to a few recurring appearances.

If CM is staying (I don't think him announcing the PP deal on GMA means he is by any means) I can live with that if, as Vee said, they do something different with him, and it sounds like netiher RB nor AM will be there so maybe that will happen. The Project Orpheus stuff aside, he HAS been more tolerable under LB.

As it turns out AMC probably shouldn't have pushed characters like Scott, Madison, Randi, Asher, and Caleb so far to the back of the stove the last several months and caused whatever interest there was in them to diminish, because they (along with CamMat and the Castillo siblings) are probably going to be the cast of AMC 2.0.

If LB is staying as HW she doesn't seem to have much interest in Randi--and if Frankie doesn't come on I doubt she would be. But your point is valid otherwise--I really like Scott (and Scott with Madison) and have no probs with him finally being pushed more forward. It's rare for a soap to focus somewhat on a male character who's *nice* and considerate--and as DC plays Scott he still has a slight edge (unlike when Am played him)

Well, they had to cater to Slavery... after all, Zendall & Rylee are the heart and soul of All My Children.

On second thought, strike the heart part. Zach already cut it out.

Ugh thankfully I don't see Zack sticking around at all.

Do you see PP doing that with anyone? I don't.

Actually I do. I could see them putting a small core group on contract and then getting others as story dictates--maybe very short contracts (are those possible? 3 month ones? with unions I mean?)

I do think PP has to think about doing seasonal production because I don't forsee a lot of actors wanting to commit to year-long contracts in something that could possibly flop.

Hrm not sure I get the thinking behind this... If they're on contract till the show flops that's stil a steady pay cheque to then--and it's not like they'd have all that much more time to audition for other shows if they weren't oin contract but working like they were...

http://www.deadline.com/2011/09/christine-evangelista-oltls-josh-kelly-two-others-cast-in-mtv-pilot-dumb-girls/

Actor Josh Kelly (Cutter) has been cast in new pilot for MTV Per Deadline and TVLine he has been cast in new pilot for MTV called Dumb Girls.

Apparently it' from Lauren Iungerich who just created the MTV hit Awkward (which as I said in the primetime forum I much to my surprise, absolutely love) so I could see this being picked up now that MTV is actively going for more scripted shows.

You can see it here: http://abc.soapsinde...ws-for-amc.html. I can't figure out how to embed it from the ABC website.

Thanks! Was that the whole segment? They don't exactly go throught he history of AMC as theinfo on SOn said they would, but I didn't expect much more.

I really wish they had stuck with the original finale, which was supposed to be a look to the future type of thing. I have a feeling what we're going to get isn't going to be all that great, especially if alot of the actor's don't continue on, the ones who watched on TV are getting the short end of the stick. PP really should have just butted out on this
