The cast photos where I got them from are labeled by Season, rather than year. For example, Season 9 is is labeled as 1995-1996. We are currently in Season 24 and that is 2010-2011. So while a photo might be taken in one year, it was encompassing the season, which overlaps across 2 seperate years. I only put the one year instead of both to simpliy things. Hope that makes sense

I know what you mean: just wanted to stress that e.g. the pic for the 1995-1996 season usually only has those actors in it which were still part of the show come January 1996...

I never realized Brad Bell took over relatively early--6 or so years into the run. Did people like his work more when his father was still alive (and able to work or consult?)

The show lost its way starting around 1995 or 1996. If that's when he took over, it explains a lot.

Wiki (which doesn't always get this stuff right) says 1993, but I suspect he had at least some help from his dad at first--at least as a consultant as he was still EP.

Here are some random credits from there:

Kay Alden Associate head writer (2007-2008, 2008) Interim head writer (2008) Co-head writer (2008-present)

Bradley Bell Executive producer (1996-present) Writer (1987-1993) Associate producer (1990-1992) Supervising producer (1992-1995) Head writer (1993-2008, 2008-present) Maria Arena Bell Fashion consultant (1989) Script writer (1989-1992) William J. Bell Executive producer (1987-1996) Head writer (1987-1993)

Even though Bill put more focus onto Y&R, i think he did help Brad a lot when he first took over as official head-writer. Thats why i believe B&B was still pretty consistent in 1993-1998, cause Brad had daddy help him to tell these stories . It kind of shocks me that Kay Alden being co head-writer hasn't really help that much, maybe Y&R was more her thing but i just figure she would at least have a lot of knowledge about B&B and could have made the show get back to basics.

That makes sense, if Bill was EP till 96 especially he would have a lot of say. I know fans weren't all pleased with Kay as HW at Y&R, but I still think she belongs there...

Always nice to see Caroline. The only time I sort of cared about Ridge.

That layout is odd. It's like biker Digest.
