Lisa- Do not EVER try to sing a Kelly Clarkson song that was THAT big of a hit. She might be gone...

Kellie- She doesn't have the greatest vocals, and I agree with the judges, she could have chosen a better song than that..but I still love her.

Ace- Ok..I guess I'm the only one, I really liked him. I absolutely LOVE Drops of Jupiter so I enjoyed it. And I guess I'm also the only one who thinks he's actually cute...

Taylor- LOVE my Taylor. He was good tonight, and I agree with Paula, as much as I love the silly, fucked-up-dancing Taylor, I like to just see him stand behind the mic and just SING a song. He's great.

Mandisa- I love that song, but she wasn't AMAZING. She's good.

Chris- I don't like that song..like AT all...and he could have picked a MUCH better one..I still love him, but tonight's def. wasn't my favorite performance of his..or best vocals.

Katharine- I LOVE Kat. She is an amazing singer, and I loved her performance, she looked beautiful also. :)

Paris- Oh. My. God. What the hell. She totally gets on my last nerve. Quit the nasty ass ass-shakin and [!@#$%^&*]. I mean damn...

Bucky- Holy [!@#$%^&*]. He's disgusting..and to sing THAT song? Tim McGraw is so [!@#$%^&*] sexy, HE has the right to sing that song..but not Bucky. Sorry, but he just can't make anything sexy...because he's just ..not. And he really wasn't that good vocally either...

Elliot- I love my man Elliot. He's always good, and he has a great voice. I liked that he didn't sing that song exactly like Gavin does.

I agree KR. That is why I have liked Simon the last two years. The last 2 years Randy and Paula have become so annoying and contradictory. Paula looks like she is drunk or high half the time (and that comment to Ace tonight showed her favoritism towards male contestants) and Randy doesn't know how to talk and doesn't even know what he says half the time. Simon at least tells it like it is and never contradicts himself. The truth hurts and Simon is usually always right, especially when picking the winner of the show at the beginning. He knows what he is talking about. The other two can go so we can get two new people in there that can give quality advice and critque rather then a load of crap.

ITA with every word. Get those two people out of here!

Can you honestly say you do not see where the people who say Kellie is annoying is coming from? And if so, um, HOW?

I applaud Lisa's efforts. If that worked out, it definitely could have kept her going for a few weeks, IMO. But it didn't.

Well, you never really know if these things are true, but on the radio which I listen to every morning, the day after Idol they always discuss what went on, and they were saying that they heard that they met at an Idol backstage party and started talking and so on and so forth..but who knows. It's just a rumor..and you know what they usually say about those...

Um, because I was asking how she annoyed that person TONIGHT. She did absolutely nothing tonight but sing her song. What is so wrong with that? I say, nothing.

Oh I see, she spoke tonight, said "I'm sorry" a few times..and man, that accent just makes you hate her right? I don't see an act. I honestly think she is just a dumbass. Which I find amusing. And that's why I like her.

Honestly. Yeah. It does. I'm not trying to be a wise guy, but she really is just annoying to me. The whole package.

I don't think her being a dumbass is an act, but her accentuating it and exaggerating it is an act.

Or have you considered that maybe that is just how she actually is? Just because she may exaggerate everything she does, doesn't mean she's putting on an act. She could possibly always be like that. We will never know..but let's just agree to disagree..lol :)

All we have are our opinions and assumptions...so both of us could be wrong.

I used to love "I Don't Wanna Be" when the only times I heard it was watching One Tree Hill. But then I stopped watching OTH, and then Gavid DeGraw took off and the songs was everywhere... Now I am annoyed by it

Pretty bad night, no one was at their best. The painful ones to hear were Kellie, Ace, ad Lisa. Ace was particularly hard to watch when he almost undressed and then his quivering innocent look at the end. Chris is definitely getting old. I am easily getting tired of his voice

It really irritated me that the judges kept saying that Kellie was "better" than the Sara Evans song! "Suds In the Bucket" is a great song, Sara Evans certainly sings the heck out of it. Kellie started late or something too, like the music started and she seemed behind it the whole song.

I think Kellie is a nice girl, and I really don't think it's an act but I do think she was trying to be funny with the ballsy comment and it obviously didn't work.

And since when is Creed hard core?

    • All the time they spent trying to make viewers feel sorry for Chad only for him to not even last that long. I wonder if they knew Richard Burgi was going so quickly. You're right about Josie replacing Cheryl. On paper, this should have made sense, given all the ties Josie had to the canvas, but I did prefer Cheryl. There was something very synthetic about Alexandra Wilson.  I suppose even if she did have some fans they were just so used to getting rid of people left and right, so she was more collateral damage. As you said above I do wonder what the plans were for Peggy Lazarus. I think AWHP mentioned her once telling Peter that Peggy Lazarus wasn't her real name. Maybe she would have been another Carl moll... Rebecca Hollen never did get her due in her soap roles.
    • So true...Hackney might have had a story on FC with Richard being an old lover of his, but reveals herself to be a Cartel member and blackmails Richard with something into doing her dirty work  LOL. But of course Richard had his hands full with the double trouble sisters Ms. Jones and Ms. Braxton that season.

    • Cat herself will be a stumbling block all her own as she vowed to Chad to stay away from him, thus redeeming her of her crime morally. Classic DAYS would have them gazing longingly at each other at Doug's Place or Blondie's, while Liz is serenading the room with a song aptly chosen to represent their feelings of emotional turmoil.
    • From what I just recently watched, they were setting her up to go into future stories. She was Emmy nomination worthy in the material I saw. If some viewers did not like her, the character could have been rehabilitated after that sick storyline. It feels like they destroyed a character for fun and then tossed her to the curb. Spencer had chemistry with everyone. I'm just retroactively angry on Spencer's behalf.  You're right about how Cheryl was often forgotten and pushed aside and I would take Cheryl over Josie. I think soaps need characters like Cheryl. Characters like Josie are way too common. Josie always got on my nerves.
    • CBS was back in third place in 1994/95. That was the season CBS lost NFL broadcasting rights which also cost them several established affiliates in major media markets. 1995 CBS was sold to Westinghouse and Les Moonves arrived. 1995/96 CBS was trying to be young and cool to compete with NBC and Fox, but it was an epic failure and CBS was once again in third place.
    • I tend to think that Chad will actually listen to Jen (this time). And that will be the next stumbling block in their relationship, which will open the possibilities for Cat to seek another member of their love triangle... To iterate my earlier thought, I am also not a fan of the person Melissa Reeves, but the character of Jennifer looks so chic this week, especially in comparison to Hope (and Gabi).  That blunt haircut is a winner.
    • I think Cheryl was essentially replaced by Josie, and it seems likely that Lemay wanted to bring the Frames back into the picture and for a variety of reasons that it would be McKinnons who would make way for them. Cheryl didn't really get many layers -- she was pretty and kind and sweet and faded into the background so that Scott could participate in the AIDS storyline with Dawn. Looking at the AWHP, other than (not very) shockingly being in love with her mother's adopted son Scott, Cheryl apparently went out with Sam and flirted with much-too-old-for-her John Hudson and MJ's ex-boyfriend/pimp Chad. I know MJ told Mary that she had been a prostitute, but did she tell Cheryl and did she tell anyone about Chad's pimping?
    • I feel the same way about Melissa Reeves' Jennifer. She just makes the show feel like home by her presence alone. I am perfectly okay with them coming in every once and awhile, which probably fits Reeves' schedule better anyway. Their connections to Salem are still there: JJ, the grandkids, Jack still owning half of The Spectator ... they're perfect recurring characters. All this talk of Jennifer being in the wrong regarding Cat is absurd. Jennifer is not being villainized in any way, shape, or form, she's just being allowed to actually be human, which adds odds to the obstacle of Chad and Cat eventually getting together. All inner conflict. Keep it coming!
    • Hahaha. Jean Hackney, Angelica Nero, and the Falcon Crest henchwomen were all straight out of a James Bond movie.
    • My hunch is what you've described. JFP is likely back working on transitioning the show to a new studio and embracing new technology for its production model.
