I couldn't stand Gedeon and glad he's gone. I loved the other seven guys. Kevin and Will are both cute in different ways and talented. I don't really dislike any of the Top 12 and that is a first. Normally there are several I am dying to get rid of (Corey Clarke and Trenyce come to mind). I think several people could be out next week based on song selection. I'm sure the judges will try to influence the non-faves to go, so people like Melissa, Kevin, Bucky, Lisa, Paris, etc better be GREAT. I think Chris, Taylor, etc will be safe for a while regardless of whether they have some bad weeks.

Heh, Roger. I liked that little thing on Pickler too. It definitely has me looking at her in a new light, true or not (and the part about her performing before IS true, as there are pictures online). I do think she's a bumpkin who has little knoweldge of a lot of things, but she's not as bad off as has been fed to us. IMO, of course.

I agree with Drew that Melissa is probably out next week. Then it's anyone's guess.

Mandisa, Chris or Katharine will win this season, I think.

Kevin's this year's Scott Savol. Waste of space that lasts FAR too long.

Katherine is too fake. She annoys me. I hated it when they called her name and she acted surprised, adjusting her hair, taking small cute little steps, adjusting her hair, more little steps, adjusting her hair. Ugh. So annoying and so fake. I can spot it a mile away.

I'm also going to say Melissa's out next week, too. Even without hearing her sing. I really do like her and wish beyond all hopes that Kevin is out, but...

The Final 12

I'm pretty satisfied with the finalists. There were the obvious contestants you knew were going to be there (Paris, Kellie, Mandisa, Chris, Ace, Taylor, Elliot, Lisa), but Melissa, Kevin and Bucky are the three that surprised me.

I thought for sure Ayla was going to be in the finals and Melissa was going home. Ayla almost had me in tears. She was truely heartbroken. I felt so bad for her.

Kevin was also a shock. Will is a much better singer than Kevin and should be the one still there. Kevin is our next Anthony Michael Hall. He will only remain based on his "cute" factor.

I can't see Bucky lasting long. There is something about him I don't like, even from the beginning. I must admit though that I was rooting for him when it was down to him and Gedeon. I hate Gedeon so bad and was praying that he was elminated. My prayers were answered!

Melissa is going to be our first finalist eliminated next week. I'm calling it now.

As to who the winner will be, it's hard to say. There are so many factors that could detemine the winner. If it's about the like factor, Kellie will be our winner. If it's about a good voice, then Chris, Mandisa or Ace should win. Chris and Ace will be the last guys remaining. Mandisa should be the last female in the competition (based on voice). I'm a little worried about her appearance though. I have been proved wrong in the past though. I said this same thing in Season 2 when Ruben and Clay were the last two. I said that Ruben didn't look like the American Idol and Clay did. I was wrong. Mandisa deserves to win.

I'm calling it right now: MANDISA OR CHRIS WILL BE CROWNED AMERICAN IDOL 2006!

I sure hope Kellie and Katharine and Taylor are not in the final four. Chris definitely deserves to be in the final 2. I hope Mandisa, Elliot & either Paris, Ace or Bucky will the other 3. Kellie seems so fake to me, acting like Carrie Underwood, but the minx has come out (as Simon said). Katharine is very pretty, the prettiest girl in the top 12, but her voice isn't very good. Taylor is good, but he bugs me and gets on my nerves. Does look like he's starting to use Just for Men though, lol.

I agree Melissa will be out next week, probably followed by Kevin. Neither should have been in the Top 12, Ayla & Gedeon are better, Ayla much better (she just sung the wrong song, which goes to show how important song choice is this year).

yes taylor was raspy this time around...but he was AWESOME the first week.
