Members MissLlanviewPA Posted April 1, 2017 Members Share Posted April 1, 2017 (edited) I've mentioned this before, but I've always assumed that the name River was a tribute to River Phoenix (at least on the part of the writing staff). The timeline between his death and Cassie discovering River at St. James is just too close to be a mere coincidence. It's not like his name really took off for baby boys until after he died.
