I can't believe she actually name-checked Megan McTavish! 25 years later! That lady sure leaves a lasting impression.

I'd love to know the story about why she was fired because her character Joni had potential and she had a good rapport with Reggie. And it obviously bothers her still if she remembers the head-writer by name all these years later :)

I think McTavish just wanted a clear-out of the younger set. If not for Reggie's ties to Jack, someone McTavish tended to write for, I think he may have gone too.

Random question: Did Erica ever work as an actress? I was looking at the Having It All book in a store and saw "actress" listed as an Erica Kane occupation. I don't recall if she ever actually worked as an actress other than trying to get the Raising Kane film.

Thanks for posting... I'm shocked she was able to spit out Megan's name that quickly on a whim, 22 years later LOL.

Sadly, I missed a lot of 2003 as I was transitioning into college and didn't have a VCR at the time. So I missed a lot of Joni/Reggie and then Laurie (both actresses becoming huge stars, which I love to see). Weren't those two ladies brought on when JR and Jamie were grown up - with those two guys that didn't last long either. I just remember thinking Joni/Laurie/JR/Jamie didn't last very long and then JR/Jamie grew up more when Young and Bruening took over (which was successful of course).

Good question - I don't ever remember her being an actress either, but maybe she was in the 80s before I started watching. I just remember she had her talk shows.
